Auric Cosmetics Smoke Reflect Cream & Powder Eye Shadow Duos in Disrupt and Entice - Swatches, Looks and Thoughts

Okay, I was so excited last year when Samantha Ravndahl announced her brand, Auric Cosmetics - I love that she has not been rushing releases and just slowly releasing amazing products! I tried the Smoke Reflect Eye Shadow Duos last year and they made my Favourite Makeup Products of 2021; the shade Temper is probably one of my most used shadows ever!

I purchased the products in this post

I'm a little behind in trying my makeup products - so this is actually the Auric Cosmetics holiday release and I've trying to be intentional about trying all the products and using them thoroughly before reviewing. But, also what I enjoy about this brand is that even though these two shadow shades were a "holiday release", these shadows are still a permanent part of their collection!

I will say before I get in to the reviews, I have to say, these are probably the *most* expensive single shadows in my collection (and I have some Pat McGrath and Marc Jacobs shadows). But, with exchange, shipping and duties these were about $60+ CAN each. Now, hear me out - I still love this formula and am not deterred to buy more, but it's definitely an investment!

Auric Cosmetics Smoke Reflect Cream + Powder Eye Shadow Duo in Disrupt ~ $39.00 US. A smokeshow in a jar. Heads will turn with these eye catching shadow duos. Create creamy-matte, or metallic-glitter looks with two luxe formulas (in a single gorgeous package). Under the top lid is a light-reflecting, micro-glitter eyeshadow infused with high-shine pearls. Inside the glass is a smooth, longwear, creaseless cream shadow.

The shade Disrupt is described as a "Cranberry/Duochrome Pink-Gold Powder" - spoiler alert, this shadow made my Monthly Favourites for February 2022 and I love it! I love the packaging on these shadows, the pot stays nice and sealed, so over a year later, my original one still applies great, and the little mirror is awesome!

Here's Disrupt swatched - the cream shadow is swatched alone on the top, the duochrome powder shadow in the middle and then the bottom swatch is the cream shadow with the powder layered over top! These shadows are all so pretty - I've used them on their own, and I love them layered together the best!

Here's a look at Disrupt with the cream as the base and the powder applied over top - it's such a stunning shade. The cream formula applies smoothly and doesn't crease and is long wearing; it dries down but not to the point of cracking or looking weird. The powder is so shimmery and gorgeous - I've used it on it's own as well and I love it!

Here is a look at Disrupt on the eyes - I love this Cranberry shade. I think it looks so pretty alone on the eyes, but also it pairs really nicely with other shadows and it's so lovely!

I think this is such a great release from the brand - I can't wait to see what other shades they release in this line, because even though these are so expensive, I reach for them all the time. I love that they are quick and easy to use and long wearing!

Auric Cosmetics Smoke Reflect Cream + Powder Eye Shadow Duo in Entice$39.00 US.

I also loved that an olive was released in this collection - I love that the "holiday" release was a green and red (or Cranberry and Olive), but it was just an elevated release of those shades. I think a deep green is a super pretty shade in this particular formula! Entice is described as an "Olive / White-Gold Pearl Powder" - the only reason that this hasn't made my Favourites, is because I don't often reach for greens, it's still so gorgeous!

Here is a look at Entice swatched on me - the cream shadow is swatched alone at the top, the powder shadow is in the middle and the powder layered over top of the cream is at the bottom. This combination is super pretty and I do love these colours! I've just reached for this one a little less than the other shades I have!

Here is a look at Entice on the eyes - I love the shadow shades on the eyes, and the white shimmer topper can come across really gold and pretty on the eyes!

Again, these formulas are long wearing and gorgeous on the eyes - I think these are super pretty. I'm really excited to see what else the brand releases and I will certainly be trying more releases!

I'm really happy with these shadows overall - the formulas are so nice and they are easy to wear. I love that they are one and done or that they can be layered and paired with other shadows! I'm really excited about Auric Cosmetics and I'm excited to see where else this brand takes us. Again, I'm happy they are being slow and intentional with their releases, and I'd much rather quality over quantity!

What do you think of Auric?
