Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all have had a great week - I have had a bit of a long week, so I'm looking forward to the weekend. I've just had one of those week where everything is feeling a little overwhelming and I'm just a little blah and anxious, so I'm hoping some rest and fun this weekend is the right pick me up.

Speaking of things that help with a little pick-me-up, the Tea Dragon books are the cutest books I've read this year! If you want some cute, heart-warming graphic novels to read - the are a must! They also address some topics not always covered in books for younger readers - sign language, disabilities, grief and gender nonconformity in a really gentle, but accepting way!
The first one, The Tea Dragon Society is my favourite - it's so adorable and I loved the characters and their stories. I just want a little Tea Dragon of my own! The second book, The Tea Dragon Festival branches off a little from the first book with different characters and it's a different, but cute story. The third book, The Tea Dragon Tapestry (which was supposed to be released on September 1, 2020, but is now moved back a little to October 2020) and was kindly provided a review copy from NetGalley) and it ties in both of the first two books together!
TWO
This past weekend Elliott and I went to the Calgary Farmyard - they had their sunflower fields in full bloom and it was really lovely! (Elliott is probably the only one who would have enjoyed it with me because the flowers were full of honeybees and he's rather in love with bees right now!) They also have a little petting zoo and lots of slides and activities for the little ones! We finished with an icecream outing and it was a great day!
THREE
Calgary was in a heatwave all of last weekend and in to the start of the week with our hottest temperatures of the year - it was stinkin hot out! Thank goodness our friend's family has a pool in their backyard and we were able to take the little boys for a few hours one day to cool off! They had such a good time jumping and swimming all morning!

This past week I placed an order from Naturamarket and I was really happy with it! I really love those Brami lupini beans and I used to pick them up at superstore; but, they stopped selling them (I was probably the only person buying them but they are my favourite snack!), so I thought I'd put in a bigger order as they have free Canadian shipping if you spend over $49! So far, everything I've tried is really good! If you are looking for natural/special diet food delivered, this is a great site to check out! I personally don't follow any type of special eating, but don't think it's bad to pick healthier options when possible!
FIVE
I was so excited last weekend to see that Glow Up Season 2 was on Netflix - I binged the whole show last weekend and loved it! I was really happy with who one even though they were a little more unique in their style - they were all amazing at makeup, but I thought this season that the winner was by far the best! Have you guys watched it?
Have a great weekend everyone!
