Every Boxing Day (or December 26 for you non-Canadians), Beautylish releases the pre-order for their Lucky Bags which ship in early January (and if you are interested, these sell out quickly!) These boxes are $75.00 US + $15.00 shipping to Canada (with exchange I paid $130.84 CAN); but, you are guaranteed at least $150.00 US worth of makeup. They are all totally random, so it is a complete surprise what you get. Some are extra lucky and include gift cards, etc.
I picked up the regular lucky bag for fair/medium skin, and my bag shipped from California on January 16 and arrived in Alberta on January 22 - so super fast shipping! (There was also XL lucky bags, Jeffree Star Lucky Bags, and a Buy One Gift One as other options).
Here is a look at my 2019 Beautylish Lucky Bag:
The Lucky Bags are described as "Lucky Bags are a Japanese New Year custom that inspired us to create our own. The sumo wrestlers, or rikishi, on this year's Lucky Bags are said to bring good luck and fortune. We hope the surprises inside make your 2019 a little more lucky."
I was pretty excited when I opened my package and saw the goodies that I received in my Lucky Bag! I received 6 products from Viseart, Hourglass, Wayne Goss, Good Molecules, Jouer and Kevyn Aucoin!
Here is a closer look at the products I received:
Jouer Cosmetics Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipstick in Rosé ~ $23.00 CAN/ $18.00 US. A weightless lipstick that offers full-coverage color with a soft-touch finish that glides on smoothly and lasts all day.
Jouer is still a newer brand to me; but, I'm excited to try them a little more as they are now available at Sephora Canada too! So, I just recently tried their little Funfetti Collection Set and thought was fun to try! I was excited to see this lip creme was included; but, Rosé is a metallic finish and the shade is described as "metallic cool champagne mauve" and I'm not sure it will look great on me!
Kevyn Aucoin The Curling Mascara ~ $28.00 US. This curling mascara provides long-lasting lift and hold for an instant eye-opening effect.
Kevyn Aucoin is a brand that I've always wanted to try more from as well! I have maybe one product, and as a mascara junkie, I'm always excited to try a new formula! You can look forward to a review in the near future on this!
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer ~ $63.00 CAN/$54.00 US. An oil-free primer with a silky, airy texture that leaves a smooth canvas for makeup, while reducing the look of redness, pores, and wrinkles.
This primer sounds really good and sounds really good for my skin type as well - I like that it's oil free with sunscreen, so I think it will be best to try it in the Summer!
Good Molecules Wake Up Eye Serum ~ $?. Formulated with caffeine and pumpkin extract to brighten, firm and depuff.
So this product is kind of cool because it came in a package overlay saying coming soon, so it's not available yet on the Beautylish website (or anywhere actually!) So, this sounds good to me! I'm always up to try something new!
Wayne Goss Brush 20 Eye Shadow Smudging Brush ~ $22.00 US. Create detailed eye looks, from cut creases to smoky eyes, with this high-performance precision brush.
I love how small this eye brush - it is so perfect for fine crease and corner detail! I got Wayne Goss brushes in my last years box as well and I really loved them, so this is really great!
Viseart Golden Hour Eyeshadow Palette ~ $72.00 CAN/$49.00 US. Viseart's proprietary creamy, long-lasting eye shadow formula is featured in an essential nine-pan palette with a full-size vanity mirror. Inspired by the unique twighlight colors and hues of Paris during the "Golden Hour," each easy-to-blend shade can be combined to create infinite looks.
I actually squealed when I saw this palette in my box - I have a couple Viseart minis that I've tried before and I love them both; but, I just haven't pulled the plug to try any more expensive palettes of theirs, so I'm soooo excited to try this - I'm saving this for a full review because it's so gorgeous!
So I spent $90 US for the box including shipping, and received $171 US worth of products, without including the unknown price of the Good Molecules eye serum! You can check out my last year's Unboxing too, if you are looking for more ideas about what may come in this fun mystery box!
Looks like a great group of products! I really love the colors of that palette; while I don't think I'd be able to pull them off every day they are perfect for the winter months!
