Beautylish 2018 Lucky Bag - Unboxing and Review!

I was so excited to receive my 2018 Beautylish Lucky Bag in the mail! I'm such a sucker for these mystery beauty bags (or mystery box in terms of how it arrives!)

Every Boxing Day (or December 26 for you non-Canadians), Beautylish releases the pre-order for their Lucky Bags which ship in early January! These boxes are $75.00 US + $15.00 shipping to Canada (with exchange I paid $123.29 CAN); but, you are guaranteed at least $150.00 US worth of makeup. They are all totally random, so it is a complete surprise what you get. Some are extra lucky and include gift cards, etc.

Here is a look at my 2018 Beautylish Lucky Bag:

The Lucky Bags are described as "Lucky Bags are a Japanese New Year custom that inspired us to create our own. This year's Lucky Bags are brought to you by the Seven Lucky Gods, who travel the world in their magical treasure ship to grant good fortune in the coming year".

I received 6 products from Becca, Jouer Cosmetics, The Ordinary, Wayne Goss, Clean Apothecary, and Jeffree Star. I am excited about everything in here except the Jeffree Star - it's just a brand I choose not to support or use. But, I did know that buying from Beautylish I was getting the chance of getting this brand and I will just pass it on, no problem!

Here is a closer look at the goodies inside my Lucky Bag:
Beautylish 2018 Lucky Bag - Unboxing and Review!

Becca Apres Ski Glow Face Palette ~ $54.00 US. Achieve the rosy, sun-kissed glow you get from a day on the slopes with this limited edition blush, highlighter, and bronzer palette from Becca. The Après Ski Glow Face Palette combines three bestsellers and three new limited edition shades for a natural, fresh-faced flush.

I love Becca highlighters and blushes and I have heard amazing things about their bronzers (specifically the shade in this palette too!) so this is the item that I am most excited about in this box!

Beautylish 2018 Lucky Bag - Unboxing and Review! Becca Apres Ski Glow Face Palette

The products included in this palette are:
-Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in "Rose Quartz"neutral pale pink
-Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in "Icicle" ~ cool, icy prismatic frost with a tint of blue
-Mineral Blush in "Winter Berry" ~ the perfect, natural rosy pink
-Luminous Blush in "Blushed Copper"copper
-Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in "Opal" golden opal pearl
-Sunlit Bronzer in "Bronzed Bondi" medium amber

I do have the highlighter Opal; but, not in the pressed format - I have it in poured and liquid versions (to see the difference you can go here!) These all swatches really well (although Blushed Copper is crazy pigmented, we'll see if I can pull it off as a blush on me!)

Beautylish 2018 Lucky Bag - Unboxing and Review!

The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer ~ $4.90 USD. Mattify skin, blur imperfections, and extend the life of your makeup with this advanced primer.

The Ordinary have been on my wish list forever! And, I have heard really great things about this primer so I am very excited to try this out! I will be reviewing it I'm sure after I have had a chance to try it out!

Wayne Goss The Brow Set ~ $55.00 USD. Sculpt, fill, and style your best brows yet with this set of three luxury brushes.

I haven't tried Wayne Goss brushes before; but, I have heard really great reviews about them! This set is pretty expensive, so it is not something I would have likely ordered on my own but I'm happy to have them!

This set includes:
-Brush 21a flat, fine-tipped brush that effortlessly mimics the appearance of natural brow hairs
-Brush 22 ~ groom and sculpt brows and lashes alike with Brush 22, a multitasking, double-ended tool
-Brush 23a must-have for shaping and styling brows, applying brow gel, and defining lashes

The brow brush is actually a fair bit bigger then I normally reach for when doing my brows; but, I will give it a shot! And a spoolie and brush/comb are always handy!

Beautylish 2018 Lucky Bag - Unboxing and Review!

Jouer Cosmetics Skinny Dip Collection Ultra Foil Shimmer Shadows ~ $40.00 USD. Sweep on an intense, shimmering metallic finish with six brand-new Ultra Foil Shimmer Shadows. Layer them together or use them as gorgeous, glittering toppers over your favorite eye looks.

I have never tried anything from Jouer Cosmetics actually so this is great! These are really pretty shadows! I love a good shimmer/foil shadow on my lids - it's usually my go to lid shades when I do my makeup.

The shadows in the palette are:

-Star Light ~ shimmering platinum with a foil finish
-Bikini ~ shimmering champagne pink with a foil finish
-Skinny Dip ~ shimmering champagne gold with a foil finish
-Tan Lines ~ shimmering antique bronze with a foil finish
-Magic Hour ~ shimmering warm taupe with a foil finish
-Midnight Swim ~ cocoa bronze with a glitter finish

Okay, HOLY MOLY are these every pigmented?! I know swatches aren't always the full picture with shadows; but, I'm sure applied with fingers or Fix+ on the brush they will look amazing on the eyes! I was actually worried that these would be too light; but, they are stunning!

Clean Apothecary Brush Shampoo in "Rose" ~ $15.00 US. Cut cleaning time in half with this natural, conditioning brush shampoo.

This is actually a really big brush cleanser - I usually buy the beauty blender or Sephora brand cleanser and this is a couple times bigger than those cleansers! It does smell like roses. This isn't the most exciting product to receive; but, it is practical and I will use this!

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in "Nathan" ~ $18.00 US. Nathan is peachy terra cotta nude with a matte finish inspired by Nathan Schwandt, Jeffree’s boyfriend. This shade is part of Jeffree Star’s limited edition Star Family Collection—once it’s gone, it’s gone for good!

I have already said that I will pass this on - Jeffree Star isn't a brand I will buy or use. I will pass this on to someone who will use it.

So, all together my Beautylish Lucky Bag came with 6 products and a total value of $186.90. This is a great value for what I paid. While I did have my fingers crossed for Viseart, Natasha Denona, or Charlotte Tilbury; but, I am pleasantly surprised with the products that I received! They aren't products I would normally pick out which makes it fun and exciting to try something different!

Have you guys tried the Beautylish Lucky Bags?! I would love to hear what you got in yours!
