Manicure Monday (polka dot nails) + Monthly Pedicure (mermaid toes)

I love when it is the start of the month and I get to do both my nails and my toes!

This week for my Manicure Monday I was thinking polka dots!

Here is a look at the products I used:

  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear #320 Fushia Power
  • Essie in "Blossom Dandy" (from my April Topbox)
  • Formula X Nail Cleanser and Base Coat
  • OPI Top Coat
  • nail dotting tool
Here are the steps I followed:
1. Nail cleanser and base coat
2. Paint 2 coats of base polish (I used 1 accent nail)

3. Let polish dry
4. Using dotting tool create a pattern or random dots on nail as much or as little as you like (this week I used 2 different sizes and a lot of polka dots!!!)
5. Let dry well and top coat!

Again, here is a look at my finished product:

I am really loving the mint green/light blue and the fushia together!! (don't mind the few messy parts - I ran out of nail polish remover!)

And now time for my Monthly Pedicure! I just found 2 really cute new Sally Hansen colors this week and HAD to use them, so I was thinking glitter toes (and these colors kind of reminded me of mermaids)! Here are the products I used for this month's pedi:
  • Ciate in Yule Rules (from a Glossybox)
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 445 Violet Voltage
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 450 Jam Packed
  • OPI Top Coat
  • Formula X Nail Cleanser and Base Coat
Here are the steps I followed:
1. Nail cleanser and base coat
2. Paint 2 coats of base polish:

3. Paint 1 or 2 coats of a lighter -less glittery- glitter (jam packed comes with a couple of sizes of glitter in different colors so I used 1 coat!)
4. Using the very glittery polish create a half-moon shape on the bottom of your nails (free hand or use a sticker - I freehanded)
5. Allow nails to dry well and top coat

Here is my final product:

I really love how these colors look together!!!

How was your Mani Monday?
