I have been excited by some recent releases from the drugstore (I've been purchasing some makeup but reviews are slow over here so I can try everything out!) so there will be more coming, but in reality more drugstore releases have appealed to me than Sephora releases lately!
So when I saw a review of these Rimmel Kind & Free tinted lip balms, I knew I wanted to try them out and they had a new cream blush too?! I was sold! Rimmel is actually a brand that I'm not super familiar with, I haven't tried a ton of products from them, but after trying these, I'd be excited to more products from them!
Rimmel Kind & Free Tinted Multi Stick in Caramel Dusk ~ $11.49 CAN. (or $8.98 CAN at Walmart!) Get instant hydrating buildable color in a rush with Rimmel London Kind & Free Multi-Stick. Can be used as a Cream blush on your cheeks or as a lipstick on your lips.
I'm currently in my cream blush era, so yes I do have to try every affordable new cream blush I see at the drugstore! This is part of the new kind & free line so it's vegan, cruelty-free, made without perfume and mineral oil and the packaging was made with 48% post-consumer recycled material.
This is said to be a nourishing formula that is infused with skin-loving ingredients that glides on effortlessly. It is supposed to deliver buildable, highly pigmented colour with a moisturizing formula.
Overall, I think this is a good formula - it does glide on easily and blends in well. It's not the creamiest of formulas (my favourite is Pat McGrath but it's 3x more expensive). This does go on smoothly - no pulling on tugging the skin and does blend out with fingers or a brush nicely. The colour is great and wears all day. It dries down and has a nice finish. I have been wearing this on most days to work and really enjoy it! (Also, i've never used this on my lips, so can't speak to it that way!)
Here is a look at shade Caramel Dusk on me - this is pretty basic neutral warm shade. This is 4 shades in this collection - the others are Berry Sweet, Pink Heat and Tangerine Dream.
Rimmel Kind & Free Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus Blaze ~ $10.49 CAN (or $7.48 CAN at Walmart). Rimmel Kind & Free Tinted Clean Lip Balm is a hydrating tinted lip care balm that glides on effortlessly with a buttery texture. This cruelty free lip repair cosmetic nourishes and conditions lips with a dewy kiss of colour and sheer, lightweight coverage.
I'm always up for a new tinted lip balm formula - it's basically the only type of product I use, unless I'm going out for a night and that doesn't happen very often! So, I'm happy to pick up a new one from the drugstore and try it out!
This is again, part of the new Kind & Free formula, so it is 100% vegan and cruelty free and made with a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled content.
This is meant to give a little tint, while nourishing the lips and having a nice and creamy texture. I really like this - it goes on super smooth. It's really soft so you have to be careful not to smush it in the beginning like I did! But, then it applies really nicely, adds just a hint of colour and a little sheen to the lips and softens and just wears really well. For me, this is a the perfect every day lip product!
Here is the shade Hibiscus Glaze on my lips - it's nice and pretty! There is 5 shades in this line, the other shades are Air Storm, Apricot Beauty, Tropical Spark and Turbo Red.
Here is a look at both products swatched on my - the Multi Stick in Caramel Dusk on top and the Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus Glaze on the bottom!
And here's a whole look with the Rimmel Kind and Free products on me! I really like both of them - if you want to see them in action, check out my youtube channel or my instagram page for a little video!
What's your favourite Rimmel product?!
Been using Rimmel lipstick for over 40 years so when Superdrug did a promo for Kind and Free I thought I'd give it a try. Disappointed that it is not creamy and gives a dull, matt finish so gad to apply lip balm on top. Bought the mascara too, but not used yet
ReplyDeleteoh sorry it was more matte - maybe a different shade? I liked this one!
