Spring 2022 - The Jilly Box Subscription Unboxing

I'm a big fan of Jillian Harris, so when she announced last year that she was starting a subscription box, I was so excited! The box started with the Winter 2019 box and sadly, I was not one of the lucky originals who won a subscription spot, so I sign up every season and hope to get picked for a lottery spot!

Spring 2022 - The Jilly Box Subscription Unboxing
I purchased this box - this post contains affiliate links

The Jilly Box is a quarterly seasonal subscription box - the products within the box include some of Jillian’s (and Team Jilly’s!) favourite items (and brands) from home decor, fashion, bath and beauty, health and wellness, accessories perfect for each season. Some of the items included will be custom designed exclusively for the Jilly Box. The Jilly Box really focuses on including products from small, local businesses while being ethically sourced and inclusive. They also focus on reducing plastic waste and packaging - the big boxes can be turned inside out and reused! Also, they try to include Canadian, woman owned brands, and this box also includes 3 LGBTQ+, BIPOC and Minority owned brands!

The Jilly Box is $199 CAN quarterly + taxes and includes free shipping to Canada and the U.S. And, while this is on the pricier end for a subscription box, it will contain at least $400 worth of products each season! The box is shipped out prior to the start of each season - so the Fall box shipped in mid-August, the Winter box will ship in mid-November, the Spring box will ship in mid-February, and the Summer box will ship mid-May!

The box always includes a little booklet that includes information about each product, recipes, interviews with makers and more! Here is a closer look at all the products in the Spring 2022 Jilly Box:

These are a special designed tea towel set - these are huge and super absorbent. My kitchen colours are around this teal and blue shades so they will look great in kitchen!

Nellie's WOW Stick Stain Remover ~ $11.00 CAN. Nellie's is always striving for cleanliness and to help they have introduced the WOW Stick Stain Remover. This stain remover is derived from natural ingredients that do not contain dyes or synthetic fragrances. Active ingredients lemongrass and sweet orange are vital to the stain removing process with the added bonus of a delicious sent!

This fits in with the "Spring Cleaning" theme of this box - I haven't tried anything by Nellies, but I've heard good things, and this is a useful product that I will certainly get use out of!

Better Basics x Jillian Harris: Better Bristles Dish Brush ~ $12.00 CAN. Our durable dish scrub brush is made from biodegradable, FSC certified bamboo and coconut bristles for an extreme clean that holds up to pots and pans.

This is a little custom Jilly pink shaded bristled brush - this is great for dishes and also someone mentioned that it's great for stovetops, etc. It's also compostable and biodegradable which is also something that's better then any plastic cleaning products.

Mint Cleaning - Cleaning Scrub ~ $21.00 CAN. The product that started it all! Use this cleaning scrub as a tough cleaning formula for all around your house. Can be used on stove tops, sinks, tubs, toilets, stainless steel, counters, window sills, floors, etc. Can also be used as a stain remover on laundry, carpets, and upholstery, This product is super concentrated, a little goes a long way (we are serious about this, just a pinch)!

I've never used a powder cleaning product like this, but I'm excited for some spring cleaning to see how it is - it will work in bathrooms, kitchens, etc. It smells good and I will happily get use out of this!

Good Juju Laundry Detergent Eco-Strips in Spring Meadows Scent ~ $15.95 CAN. Good Juju's innovative laundry strip formula is super-concentrated, containing no water and requiring no plastic bottle. Each 30-strip envelope prevents one 1-litre plastic jug from entering the landfill, and results in a 94% reduction in transport-related greenhouse gas emissions, compared to liquid alternatives.

Oooh - I love this idea! I really am trying to reduce my overall impact, so I love this idea of recyclable packing and a concentrated strip. I used these all weekend and really liked them - the scent is very delicate, my clothes were all soft and clean and I think I'm going to pick more of these up!

Jillian Harris X Nature Bee Swedish Dishcloth (Set of 3) ~ $24.00 CAN. Swedish Dishcloths are the perfect addition to your Nature Bee Wraps because they are lint free!! They are also perfect for any kitchen cleaning. Use a Swedish dishcloth to wipe any residue off of your beeswax wrap and keep it clean. They can absorb up to 15 times their own weight- no need for paper towel! Made from 70% wood cellulose and 30% cotton. They are compostable.

I'm a big fan of the swedish dishclothes - they are great to use, work well and they are easy to clean - dishwash, boil, or throw in the washing machine! These designs are cute as expected with anything Jillian Harris designs, so they will get used!

Okay, these are super comfortable - they are lightweight and so soft! I live in lounge pants, so I will happily take a new pair and I know I will get tons of use of these! I'm also a fan of knix so I know they will be good quality.

Ethical Bean Coffee - Lush Medium Dark - Ground Coffee ~ $9.99 CAN. Medium Dark Roast. Any richer, and you’d ask it for a loan. A heavy cup with Burgundian fullness, alive with fruit, smoke, and earth notes.

I love coffee, so this will get used here for sure - I haven't actually tried this brand before and I'm excited to try it. It is 100% certified fair-trade and organic coffee. It's also roasted in Canada!

Skwalwen Botanicals Kalkay Healing Salve ~ $20.00 CAN. Kalkay (call-kay) is the Squamish word for rose bush. Formulated with sustainably-sourced yarrow, rosehip and a blend of organic carrier oils, this multi-purpose salve is designed to aid in soothing  and nourishing your skin. Yarrow and rosehip offer restorative elements for dry skin and minor irritations.

This is a female owned, Canadian indigenous brand - this is a handcrafted salve using indigenous traditions to sooth and nourish your skin. This can be used on bites, razor burns, sunburn and on any itch. I also like using these type of products on really dry skin - it is great on my knuckles and elbows and it smells medicinal and great! I like it!

Steamery Stockholm Cirrus No.2 Navy - Handheld Steamer ~ $180.00 CAN. This handheld steamer, Cirrus No.2 – Blue, is a sustainable and efficient alternative to both ironing and washing. Your clothes will be wrinkle-free, smooth and fresh in no time. The hot steam also reduce bad smells, shallow dirt and bacteria.

Okay, I have a huge steamer, but I rarely use it because it's such a pain, but this little handheld device looks so quick and simple to use! This is great for wrinkles and also reducing bacteria. I'm so excited for this - it's not something I've seen in a subscription box!

Overall, I'm really happy with this Jilly Box - it feels very perfect for a Spring Cleaning themed Spring box! It's really interesting and it's not typical products that I've seen in a lot of subscription boxes, so I'm looking forward to using everything. While the box is pretty indulgent at $200 a quarter, but this box came with a value of $398.94 CAN. Some of the products were specifically designed with Jillian Harris for this box with exclusive colours and I always think that it adds a nice touch!

What do you think about this subscription?
