Time for a look at my favourite products in October:
I purchased everything in this post - this post contains affiliate links
Okay, I have been slow at trying new products over the past few months - I'm still buying lots, but I just haven't had much time to try everything! But, I was still able to round up some products that I've been loving lovely!
I have a little of everything this month - bath, hair, makeup and even a skincare tool in there! Here is a closer look at everything I was loving this month:
Lush Screamo Bubble Blower ~ $13.95 CAN. This Scream-inspired bubble blower is made with a blend of skin-softening corn starch, along with ylang ylang and almond oils to give it a sweet and juicy cherry scent. Hold it under running water or swish it around like a paintbrush on canvas to create fruity bubbles. Then, when you're happy with your bubble-to-water ratio, blow a few fab bubbles with Screamo.
Okay, this is just so fun - also, it's seasonal, so if you are interested in this, pick it up soon! Okay, the Lush bubble bars are my favourite bubble bar formula by far - they bubble well without using a ton, and the bubbles last a long time! Plus, this one smells delicious and looks amazing, what else could I want?! I love that it hold together as you run this under water, and don't need to crumble it in! Love this!
JVN Complete Hydrating Air Dry Cream ~ $30.00 CAN. A soft styling cream that adds buildable, touchable hold that lets your natural texture shine.
I'm not one to typically reach for a cream styling product; but, it was JVN and I had to try it and I was pleasantly surprised! I have pretty thin, fine hair so I only need a tiny amount for my hair - I don't have curly hair, so I can't speak for hold on any hair type except for mine! But, I love that I don't need a detangler with this product; it's supper easy to brush through and I usually need one. And, this helps control my frizz, so I have been enjoying it!
Auria Rose Quartz Gua Sha ~ $18.00 CAN. Gua Sha is a facial treatment and therapy technique that involves pulling rose quartz stone along the skin. Benefits may include reduced puffiness, lymphatic drainage and decreased muscle tension. Gua Sha can help address the root causes of aging that topical products cannot; it increases circulation, decreases muscle tension, and helps move the lymphatic fluid while giving an almost immediate lift and radiant glow.
I must confess, I bought this so long ago and I haven't used it for a while. I was loving my globe cooling gels and honestly, as the pandemic drug on, I just stopped going over the top with my routine (weird I know, we are home more, I've just been more tired). So anyways, I started reaching for this recently and love it - you add a good facial oil and just massage in to your skin - this packaging shows you the motions as well, which is so helpful with a new tool!
Sephora Collection #Lipstories Lip Balm in Date Prep ~ $10.00 CAN. An ultra-soft lip balm, enriched with mango butter and jojoba oil, that provides a sheer wash of color in satin and shimmer finishes.
I'm pretty sure that every month I feature a new tinted lip balm or lip balm - don't judge me; it's all I'm wearing right now, and if I love a formula, I love it! The shade I picked is Date Prep and it is a satin finish and the shade is described as "rosewood" - it's a lovely shade, and a nice smooth formula and a light rosy finish!
ColourPop Once Upon A Dream Super Shock Shadow ~ $7.00 US. Our revolutionary creme-powder eyeshadow, famous for its unique bouncy texture, delivers bold metallic foiled colour in one swipe without creasing, fading or fallout.
I'm a little bit of a sucker for the ColourPop and Princess collections - I was pretty good this time and only picked up the Aurora one and it's lovely! It's described as "rose with a duochrome coral flip and gold pin points". Seriously check out my post where it is swatched and on my eye - it's a pink with so much shift and shimmer, it's actually a stunning shade!!!
What have you been loving this month?!
