Terra Moons Cosmetics was on my list of brands I wanted to try this year, so when they came out with a couple of exclusive sets with Urban Outfitters earlier this year, I had to pick one up to try them out!
Initially I was only able to pick up one set - the Cosmic Neon set, and I was able to try out the neon formula, but I'm always most interested in the shimmer or metallic formula, as that is what is so hyped up about the brand!
I purchased this set - this post contains affiliate links
I have to start by saying that this set is currently not available; but, it was released earlier this year and I didn't get it and then it randomly came back in stock in the Summer, so I scooped it up. But also, they have an exclusive set right now that is perfect for Summer, so make sure you check out the Terra Moons section on Urban Outfitters - I've also picked it up and can't wait to try it soon!
Terra Moons is an American BIPOC indie beautt brand - it is a Latina woman owned brand. They are mostly known for their lovely duochromes, multichromes, and chameleon shadows, so I'm excited to try their shimmer formula out!
Terra Moons Cosmetics UO Exclusive Celestial Eyeshadow Set - Garden of the Galaxy ~ $24.00 CAN. Eyeshadow set by Terra Moons Cosmetics for Urban Outfitters, featuring four pressed pans of shades inspired by the celestial elements.
The previous neon set came with four pre-existing eyeshadows from Terra Moons, but this set (and the new Equinox set) come with all exclusive shades not available on the website! These are all pretty Springy shades, and this set does coordinate with the Cosmic Neon set as well, so I like having both! I love seeing indie brands doing sets like this to help introduce them to a bigger audience!
Nova Rose ~ a bright pink magenta shimmer
Lunar Lily ~ a mint green shimmer
Cosmic Carnation ~ a deep blue shimmer
Starlit Iris ~ a violet purple shimmer
The shimmer formula is really nice - these were all well pigmented when they were applied with my fingers. They are a little light because they are closer to a pastel shade. They are all really lovely and are perfect as lid shades. I was able to make a full look with these and I think it's pretty, but realistically, I will wear these more individually!
Here's a full look with all of the shimmer shadows in the Garden of the Galaxy set - I would never normally do a light, full shimmer look, but the shadows are all so pretty! I mostly applied them with my finger, but it is also recommended to use a primer to help the shadows hold.
For this look I used Lunar Lily on the inner corner and inner lid, then I applied Cosmic Carnation to the middle lid, and Starlit Iris to the outer corner. Then I applied Nova Rose to the lower lash line!
I'm really happy I got to try out the shimmer formula from Terra Moons - I loved this set. I'm a little late to the release, so these certainly feel more Springy to me. I just picked up the new Equinox set and I can't wait to try those as well!
