Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

I really enjoyed working on a project pan last, it really made me enjoy using up older products in my collection, so I was excited to start a new project pan in 2021 - I am hoping to use up or hit pan on 21 products in 2021! I will again, be focusing on all makeup products as I am pretty good about working through my skincare products.

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2
The Rodial brow product was received as PR - this post contains affiliate links

I started the project off with the first 10 products and will treat this like a rolling project - once I reach my goal, I will add a new product to the mix! On my first update, I reached my goal on 1 product, so only 20 more to go!

I have a mix of goals between finishing products and hitting pan, so this should be a lot of fun! I also picked a mix of products that I will reach my goals quickly on and some that may take close to the whole project to reach! Let's start with the product that I've reached my goal on:

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer in Queen's Land ~ $7.29 CAN. Whether you're looking sculpt your cheeckbones with icy, cool undertones or intensify your incandescence with a warm flush of flame, this gel-infused, longwearing formula leaves skin looking luminous with a naturally sun-kissed glow.

This was from the Fire & Ice collection a few years ago and it's a good bronzer, it's just not the best shade for me, but I have been using this pretty consistently! I was going to put another bronzer in this, but I hate the Wet n Wild packaging (it ALWAYS breaks) and this one is broken, so I'd like to use it a little and then toss it!

My goal for this bronzer was to hit pan - I managed to hit that goal at the end of March and I thought I'd see how much more use I could get by this update and it was pretty good, so it's time to declutter it now. The weight of this bronzer was 38.92 g at the start of this project and now it's 37.71 g at check in time!

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Face Primer ~ deluxe sample shown (full size is $68.00 CAN). A non-greasy, lightweight makeup primer with light-infused pigments and four nourishing oils that blur imperfections and smooths the look of skin.

This is the oldest primer in my collection right now, so I need to use this up, but I've also been hoping to try this - it seems so luxe with the little shimmery gold bits in it! The only thing I don't like is this paddle applicator - I think the full size has a pump applicator.

My goal is to use this up fully - it is a deluxe sample size, so it's got a good amount of product in it and I just finished it up the same day I was doing to update (it's almost totally done, but the applicator doesn't get it all, so it's a used up as I can get it). The weight of this primer at the start of the project was 22.8 g, and at check in time, it's 15.11 g.

So, another 2 completed! And, here's the other products that I've introduced that I'm still working towards my goal on:

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette ~ $65.00 CAN. An eyeshadow palette with 18 shades in peachy pinks, corals, bronzes, and purples.

This is my oldest palette in my collection right now - it came out in early 2016, so we are pushing 5 years old now (you can see my original post back in April 2016 on it here!). The formula is still good and I really liked this palette, and still enjoy it whenever I remember to use it, so I think it's time to get some good use out of it before it's not so good anymore!

My goal for this eyeshadow palette is to hit pan on at least 2 shadows (maybe 3 depending on how I'm doing) and use all the shadows at least a couple of times! I'm making a dent on the lightest 3 shades. I haven't reached for all the shades yet, so I can still diversify my use a little bit more I think! (I couldn't weigh this palette as it was too heavy for my little scale).

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop ~ $50.00 CAN. An award-winning highlighter with an ultra-creamy formula that melts into skin for a natural, luminous glow.

This is probably the oldest highlighter in my collection - Champagne Pop was huge when it was released in July 2015 and it really is a stunning colour. It made my Monthly Favourites back in that month, so it's an oldie but a goodie! It's described as "soft gold with pinky-peach pearl" and it really is stunning - it's an old favourite and I've made a pretty good dent in it over the years.

My goal with this product is to hit pan on it - this is a big highlighter, so I think this might take me quite a while to do, but it will feel really great to do. I've managed to use this a lot of times over the past few months and am making a little dip right in the middle! The original weight of this product at the start of this project was 62.97 g and at check in time, it was 62.82 g.

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in "Luminous Light" ~ $64.00 CAN. Create the perfect illumination for your face with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder.

This is another super old product in my collection - it made my Monthly Favourites all the way back in August 2015, so it's time to use it up. I have been using this up previously, but every time I get a new finishing powder, this one gets pushed to the back burner - it can be a highlighter or a finishing powder. This is a little dark for me all over right now, but I've made some pretty serious progress on this!

My goal for this product is to use it up - I'm hoping this is an easier goal to finish, but I still do think this will take a few months to finish (I'm getting sooo close!) I have been using this most days as a setting/finishing powder, so I'm making some good, but slow progress. The starting weight of this product was 80.60 g and at the time of check in is 79.98 g.

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Paaarty ~ deluxe sample (full size is $38.00 CAN). An award-winning powder blush that contains long-wearing Amazonian clay, so pigment looks freshly applied all day.

This is another old favourite - it was one of my Favourite Makeup Products of 2017. I think this was the Sephora Birthday gift either 2016 or 2017 and Paaarty is described as a "nude". It's a lovely pinky nude that works well for my skintone and it's an easy to use shade for every day!

My goal for this product is to hit pan on this blush - it is a deluxe size, so that should be doable within this year, but I do think that this will take quite a while! I've been using this quite a few times over the past few months, but this will take a lot more uses to hit pan on. The weight for this blush was 19.06 g at the start of the project and now it is 18.85 g.

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

ColourPop Lip Crayon in Z Boys ~ $8.00 US each. When all you need is just a tint. This comfy, hydrating lip tint adds the perfect sheer wash of colour to create healthy, glowy lips.

These lip tint lip crayons were another instant love for me when I picked them up - this made my Favourite Makeup Discoveries of 2019! Z Boys is described as a "sheer peach nude" and the formula is super soft and comfortable on the lips and wear off without smearing everywhere and they leave a pretty tint behind (just a little bit) and reapply really nicely. I have been getting a ton of tinted lip balms lately, so I want to use some of my older ones that I love too!

My goal for this product is to use it up - there is a fair bit of product left in this because honestly, who is wearing a ton of lip products right now?! I have a feeling that this will take a while to complete! And, I have only used this once or twice over the past two months. The starting weight of this was 17.69 g and it weighed 17.66 g at check in time.

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

NYX Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil in Natural Soft Beige ~ $15.99 CAN. Reveal your freshest self with our new Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil! Simply smooth  this weightless formula onto the complexion for light, breathable coverage with a  seamless and satiny finish.

I love this tinted skin veil - it is the perfect light, medium coverage that wears really nicely. It made my Monthly Favourites in March of this year, so it's certainly a lot newer than most products in this project. (And, spoiler - it's one of my Favourites of the Year too) But, I have quite a few light coverage products that are in line to use and I don't like to have too many foundations open at a time!

My goal for this product is to use it up - I'm getting so close and have been making great progress! I have been using this every time I've done a full face of makeup (which isn't super often). The weight was 23.36 g at the start of the project and at check in time, it was 15.80 g.

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Smoky Storm ~ deluxe sample (full size is $31.00 CAN). A brilliant and long-wearing, liquid glitter eyeshadow.

These are the O.G. glitter eyeshadows - these made my Best of Makeup 2017, so these have been around for awhile. A few of these have dried up on me, so I'd like to use this one before that happens (and it was feeling a little dry as I was using it!) Smoky Storm is described "light pewter & silver" and it's pretty and easy to use!

My goal for this one is to use it up - there isn't a super easy way to tell with this, but I will just use it until I can't get any more product or it dries up! And again, I've only used this once over the past two months, so I need to step up my use a little bit! The weight of this at the start of this project was 13.38 g and at check in time it was 13.19 g.

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

Rodial Microblade Effect Eyebrow Pencil Dark Ash Brown ~ $35.00 CAN. Define, sculpt and build brow volume with this creamy angled brow pencil. Featuring a unique triangular tip that can be used to create precise, hair-like strokes or to quickly fill in the brow area with broad strokes for instant brow-enhancement.

This was a brow product I got a while ago, and it's not my favourite - it's a bigger, triangle tip pencil than I typically prefer. It's quite a creamy formula so I also find it a little hard to control on application as well. It's the oldest brow product in my collection, so just trying to use up the oldest stuff first.

I introduced this pencil after I completed the Catrice brow pencil on January 27 and I've been using it every day. I was quite surprised that it doesn't look like I've used very much up! The current weight at the first check in time of this pencil was 7.04 g and this time it was 7.01 g.

And, since I finished two products this time, I'm adding in two more products to the project:

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

YSL Touche Eclat Colour Corrector in # 3 Violet ~ $52.00 CAN. Violet helps neutralize dull or sallow skin. Instantly eliminates color imperfections for a flawless skin tone. Convenient one-click brush perfectly & effortlessly targets the problem areas.

This was a concealer that has sort of been forgotten in my collection, but I've enjoyed a violet powder, so I'm thinking that I will enjoy this under my eyes for a brightening effect. This is a nice thin formula and it was comfortable to wear.

My goal with this is to use it up - it's a little hard to judge how much is in here, or how long it will take me to finish, so it will be a surprise! I introduced this on March 29, 2021 and the starting weight was 19.07 g and on this update, it weighed 18.95 g.

Project Pan 21 in 2021 ~ Update #2

Guerlain Meteorites Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer ~ $85.00 CAN. For skin that seems lit from within, apply this smoothing liquid to clean, moisturized skin as an essential first step in any makeup routine. The gel formula, the first makeup base with pearls of light, is made of an exclusive color-control base to camouflage blemishes and discoloration, combined with pearlescent extracts to capture and reflect light and blur the appearance of fine lines without adding shine.

This replaced the YSL primer I just finished and it's the oldest primer in my collection - this one specifically looks discontinued, but it looks like they still have this pearl style primer. These burst as you squeeze the product out, and this is a fine primer.

My goal on this is to use it up - shouldn't take too long, I wear primers most days still. I have just over 2/3 of the bottle to go!

So, I'm making slow progress through this project - 3 complete, 18 more to go! Let's see the progress I make over the next two months!
