This month's favourites are a really good range of products - a few makeup products and a couple of skincare products!
Here are a look at my favourite products this month:
Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Elec-trick Palette ~ $65.00 CAN. Limited edition holiday palette that features seven shades with three mattes one satin, and three metallic/sparkly shades.
So, this was a limited edition palette that came out for the holidays - my friend recently gave it to me as she was gifted it; but, won't use it. And, of course I was very excited to use this because I hadn't tried Marc Jacobs powder shadows before. I swatched this palette on a recent post here and I really loved these shadows! I don't typically reach for a cool toned, mauvey pink eyeshadow palette; but, these are such high quality shadows! The mattes are smooth and blendable and the shimmers and super creamy and pigmented! These seem pricey, but the quality is there!
NYX Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil in Natural Soft Beige ~ $15.99 CAN. Reveal your freshest self with our new Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil! Simply smooth this weightless formula onto the complexion for light, breathable coverage with a seamless and satiny finish.
I have really been trying to switch to lighter coverage skin products, especially while my skin is blemish free - which it has been for a few weeks! So, I was excited to pull this out finally and try it and I was really impressed! I'm saying that a little surprisingly because I've been pretty solid to a medium to full coverage look, so it can be an adjustment going to a sheer to light finish product! It covers red and evens skintone, while being light weight! I have been loving it in the drier, colder months and think I get a full day wear out of this, even though it says up to 8 hours. I'm really curious how this will wear in the warmer months, but for the Winter/cold, it's really good!
Natasha Denona Bloom Blush & Glow Palette ~ $73.00 CAN. An ultimate glow palette inspired by Natasha Denona’s bestselling Diamond & Blush Palette, featuring some of her bestselling shades and formulas.
This isn't a typical product that I would pick up because I don't use a ton of cream cheek products, but I'm really trying to give it a go! This is a solid favourite because the Duo Glow (bottom right corner) is this stunning coral glowy blush/highlighter that looks amazing on the cheeks - you can see it in a Shop My Stash look here; but, even though it's an older palette, I would like to do a whole post on it soon!
But, this does also come with a cream highlighter/blush base, cream blush, powder highlighter and powder blush/highlighter, so it's very versatile! I've been using this all month for my Monthly Makeup Basket, but the only product I struggled a little bit with was the cream blush because it's quite deep and pigmented, but by the end of the month, I've learned to use them all and really love this palette!
Indeed Labs Watermelon Melting Balm ~ $24.99 CAN. Tired of harsh cleansers that strip your skin? Enter watermelon melting balm. This oil-based cleansing balm melts onto the skin and creates a gentle lather when mixed with water to dissolve makeup, dirt and oils, all while nourishing dry and dehydrated skin.
I just recently raved about this product in my recent Spring Cleaning post, so this should come as no surprise if you read that post! This was my first time trying Indeed Labs and this instantly jumped to the top of the best cleansing balms! The product itself is fantastic - I forgot sometimes to use a second cleanser and didn't need a micellar water or eye makeup remover first. It was just so effective and I absolutely love that this comes in a tube - so much less messy to use! I'm even more excited to know that Indeed Labs is Canadian and their products are formulate without fragrances, colourants, parabens, drying alcohols, mineral oil, phthalates, sulfates, and silicones. So good!
Paula's Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster ~ $44.00 US. This concentrated 10% niacinamide serum booster dramatically improves uneven skin tone and refines the appearance of pore size, skin texture and fine lines.
I actually featured another Paula's Choice booster in last month's Favourites too - I've been trying three of them (I will share a review soon!) and have been really impressed. They are quite versatile in that you can use them alone, mix them together, or add in to your other serums or moisturizers. This one is really light-weight and absorbs well in to the skin! I've used them in all different ways and this one has just been fantastic at evening my skin tone and improving the overall appearance of my skin! I've talked about how good my skin's look this month, and I know this booster is contributing to that!
This is seriously such a good month of empties! What were you guys loving this month?
I really want to try the Watermelon Melting Balm because it's one of the first balms I have seen that is not in a pot and it seems like it would smell good!
ReplyDeleteI really wish the melting balm smelled like watermelon, but they are fragrance free, so it's pretty neutral, but it does has hemp seed oil which makes it maybe a little hint earthy (not much at all) - and I love that it's in a tube! And, it's a seriously good formula!
DeleteThis is a great collection of favs!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI'm really interested in that Paula's choice booster. I just got a The inkey list nicidemine so I'll try that first. But Paula has never let me down
ReplyDeleteIt's great and I feel the same way - Paula's Choice has never done anything wrong for me!
