Happy Earth Day! I always like to use this time to reflect that even though I'm very consumeristic, I do like to be conscious in my purchasing and do what I can for this lovely planet of ours!
I received these masks as PR samples
Calgary has a great, city-wide composting program, so whenever I see products are biodegradable and compostable, I'm always super excited! I can have my skincare and make sure that my products are being composted (then every Summer, I pickup free compost from the city and add it to my garden).
I also love the material of bamboo in sheet masks too - it's nice and soft and comfortable to wear! The only thing to note with all three of these masks (likely the whole line) contains sweet almond oil, which is a lovely ingredient for the face; but, if you are allergic to nuts, I would skip this unless it's something you know you can use on your skin!

I have always had success with rice masks before - it is typically a nourishing and brightening ingredient! This is a biodegradable bamboo sheet mask and this mask smells delicious! It's almost fruity and fresh and makes the wearing experience so good!
This mask was straight-forward to wear: wash face, apply mask, wear for 15-20 minutes, remove mask and pat any remaining essence in to skin!
This mask was a little drier than I anticipated - it still had enough to wear well and this lasted about 15 minutes on my face. It wore well and left my face hydrated, fresh and smooth after wearing this! This one was my favourite of the three!
7th Heaven Superfood Turmeric Sheet Mask ~ $4.99 CAN. An effective superfood blend of healing Turmeric, Sweet Almond Oil and Argan Kernel Oil to offer skin long lasting 24 hour hydration in one easy to use biodegradable sheet mask, for smooth radiant skin. Vegan. Made from 99% Natural Origin.
Turmeric is such a popular ingredient right now - it's great for healing the skin and refreshing. Again, I loved the bamboo mask and this one has a spicier scent to it and I enjoyed it!
This mask usage is identical to the rest of the line: wash face, apply mask, wear for 15-20 minutes, remove mask and pat any remaining essence in to skin!
The sheet mask is a good material and fit decent - it was a little on the big side. This was also on the drier side and it could have had more essence on it. It dried out in about 10 minutes on my face and didn't have much essence to pat in. This was fine, but I always prefer more essence and masks that last longer. I think my skin looked good after - it wasn't super nourishing so it needed a heavy moisturizer after.
Avocado is a great superfood ingredient - it is great for hydrating and nourishing the skin. This was my least favourite scent of the three, it does smell like avocado, but it isn't a super nice smell! Again, the biodegradable bamboo mask is great!
This mask usage is the same as the others in the line: wash face, apply mask, wear for 15-20 minutes, remove mask and pat any remaining essence in to skin!
This was quite a dry mask and it didn't have much essence - it was harder to get it to adhere to the face without much essence and the bottom half absorbed in to my skin within a couple of minutes and it was lifting. My skin wasn't super hydrated after and it just sort of left me wanting more!
Overall, I thought the material of the masks was great and I really love that bamboo is compostable! I did think they could use a little more essence, but I really enjoyed the Rice Protein and thought that even though it was a quick mask, it made my skin brighter and hydrated!
OMG yes, these need more essence! I don't know why 7th heaven hasn't clued in that more essence is required!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, they would probably be really good if they stuck on and lasted!
