Five on Friday - November 13, 2020

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you had a great week! Can you believe it's Friday the 13th?! As if 2020 needs one of those right now!

Last weekend was my 34th Birthday! It was certainly a different birthday - we were isolating because my husband was a close contact of someone who was covid positive and we were waiting his test results (negative, thank goodness), but our families just dropped gifts off at the door and couldn't come over sadly! Probably the quietest birthday ever!

So much craziness going on right now, I had a beauty post planned for today and ended up just taking the night to read a book and it was lovely. I'm all about the self care, whatever form it takes. Also, instead of seeing me in a mask you can enjoy a lovely family photo we just got back - I love these guys so much ❤ . . . #yycfamily #yyckids #calgaryfamily #calgarymom #lovemyboys #family

We got some family pictures back that we got done just before Thanksgiving and I'm so happy with how they turned out! Wait until you see the one of my boys going up on the 'gram today! 

THREE 

Yes, I do have a Joe Fresh problem - I ordered another Long Bomber jacket because they released it in Maroon and it's lovely! Then I picked up a pair of comfy joggers, a sweatshirt and a pair of gloves! 

FOUR 

Speaking of hard to find Cherie Dimaline books, I placed another order from Strong Nations publishing for her other older books - Red Rooms and A Gentle Habit. Red Rooms sounds amazing, and the other is a book of short stories which I don't always read, but I will read anything by Cherie! Also, picked up a few books by Tanya Talaga because Seven Fallen Feathers was amazing, so I wanted to read All Our Relations as well! 

FIVE 

I'm really trying to focus on shopping local this year more than ever, and I picked up some loal wine and cider! City & Country is Calgary's only winery so I picked up some wine from them, plus they had a beer collab with Cabin Brewing, the Vines and Bines that's totally worth checking out if you are local (it's a champagne beer!). Then I stopped by Uncommon Cider and picked up some Blackberry and Passionfruit Guava, plus Community Cider (made with all local donated apples!)
