Plus, this year I think these posts will hold me a little more accountable - I put myself on a $100 a month budget, not because I need to; it's actually more to test myself and be more conscious about what I purchase. I also really want to make sure that I'm enjoying and using everything on my collection!
On that note though, I went over budget knowingly this month; but, I'll talk about it after in that I feel like I was very thoughtful about the purchase, and that's really what I want this to be about!
Everything was purchased by me
Beautylish Order ~ $54.78 CAN. When Viseart announced the release of their Petit Pro 4 and 5 palettes, I really wanted to pick both up! They are so gorgeous and I love the formula of 1 and 2 (I still don't have 3; but, I'm trying to remind myself that I don't need to be a completionist if I already have something similar or won't use it!) Anyways, I absolutely love the shades is the Petit Pro 5 Soleil palette - I picked it up the day it was released. Also, to get free shipping I added in one of these lovely Farmacy face masks! But, in reality I should have waited a couple of weeks for it to be released on Sephora to save in the exchange rate!
Scratch Monthly Mani Kit ~ $20.58 CAN. So, there isn't anything to show for this as you pay for the April Mani Kit in March, so I won't receive this until April! But, I've subscribed to many of the Scratch kits in the past and I love the look of the April one - I will share it on a Five on Friday post when I receive it!
ColourPop Order #1 ~ $15.13 CAN. Alright, this might seem a little crazy to only order 1 item from ColourPop; but, ColourPop announced free world wide shipping with non minimum and I really wanted to pick up another Jelly Much eyeshadow because I loved the last one I tried so much! Little did I know that they would release some must have products later in March that I had to pick up as well!
Shoppers Drug Mart Haul ~ $14.70 CAN (regular price $106.70). Yes, you read that right, under $15 for all of this! I redeemed $95 worth of PC Optimum points during a spend your points event and I'm pretty excited about the haul I got! The Wet n Wild and Estee Lauder foundations are repurchases in different shades, and I needed a Micellar water, so I picked up a new one to try! Plus, I had to have the Naked Reloaded palette and I love it!
ColourPop Order #2 ~ $63.48 CAN. Okay, this where I went over board; but, I seriously could not resist!!! A ColourPop Disney Villains collection - I had to get something. But, really if I wasn't on a budget, I would have got way more from this collection! I went through the collection piece by piece and I really decided if I needed the items! The palette is gorgeous and I only picked up 2 extra things from Maleficent (which is serious self control being demonstrated here!) I may pick up a few extra Jelly Much shadows eventually from the collection as they are gorgeous!
I spent $168.67 this much, which is over budget; but, I think even though I was over, I was very choosy about everything I bought and I really only picked up things that I would use! So, instead of also picking up the Viseart Petite Pro 4 and more from the ColourPop collection, I really thought through my purchases and that's important!
