Hard Candy Glitteratzi Glitter & Chrome Eyeshadow Duo in Viva La Venus ~ $7.00 US or $8.98 CAN. This eyeshadow duo offers both a brilliant, sparkling, liquid glitter finish and a chrome, magnificently metalized smooth foil finish in one. Create endless color looks in either monochromatic combinations or layer multiple shades for bold fresh dramatic effects.
I just love that this isn't just another glitter eyeshadow - they are bringing a metallic, chrome liquid shadow with it in a flattering colour combination! The chrome finish of the metallic shadow is designed to be the perfect base for the glitter side!
The duo I received is "Viva La Venus" and it's a beautiful purple - there are 12 different duos in this range and I serious want them all! They are gorgeous and perfect for Spring! The formula of this eyeshadow duo is super impressive - this is incredibly pigmented, long-wearing and doesn't crease on me! It's really beautiful!
Hard Candy is easily accessible and available at Walmart in stores - they are one of the brands that are sticking to true drug store prices too (I don't think I've seen anything over $10!) There is nothing better than quality and affordability in the same product.
For us Canadians, I haven't seen this product yet on the Walmart Canada website; but, it is a new Spring product, so it should be there soon! I would head to your closest store and look for it, as it will be in stores too!

Here is a look at a plain one swipe of the product - I swiped it twice beside each other; but, did not layer it, so you can see the true coverage of the product!
I was very impressed with the coverage in the chrome shadow! I wasn't expecting it to be so opaque with one coat! The glitter side offers quite good coverage as well! While the shadows come as a set and are meant to be layered, both shadows would be stunning on their own too!
Here is a look at the shadows layered on top of each other! The lid is the chrome shadow with the glitter shadow layered on top.
The only addition I've made is that I buffed out the edge of the shadow with the purple shadow Royalty from the Jaclyn Hill palette and the the lighter purple shadow Belle Violet from the Emily Noel The Wants palette (that is on the lower lash line as well). I added a light purple liner on the waterline (mine is a discontinued Make Up For Ever Aqua XL).
While this looks a little silly, I really wanted you to see the full effect of the application of just the chrome shadow on the lid. This is one coat and the opacity is really good - there is only a couple of places that needed a little touch up! Also, the edge is just using the applicator provided in the duo!
Before I applied the eyeshadow, I just put down a base nude matte base shadow all over the lid - I did this because I new I would use a little shadow to buff out the edges of the shadow.
I thought the shadow was so easy to apply and looks gorgeous - this only took me a couple of minutes to apply, layer, and quickly buff out the edges. But, it's so impactful and the pigmentation is impressive! It's long wearing and didn't crease on me wearing it all day! Have I raved enough?!
The shadows did take a minute to dry down; but, it was still a quick process. If I'm looking for any negatives about this product, it is only that you can feel it dry down and then you can feel it a little as you wear it; but, it's not like it pulls or is uncomfortable - it's just that it's there and it's a little more noticeable than a powder eyeshadow!
These products are so fun and perfect for Spring! They are quick and easy; but, deliver serious results at an affordable price!

I love purple too! And, love the glitter in there with it!
DeleteLove the purple! Such a beautiful eye look that sounds so easy to do. I don't have many Hard Candy products in my stash - if at all! I should go check out what they have next time I'm at Walmart.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was really easy to use which is always great!
DeleteHoly crap! I'm so impressed! Hard Candy has had a lot of misses for me lately so I am SO happy to see this! Both shades are beautiful and I love hearing that it didn't crease!
ReplyDeleteI'm super impressed with this shadow too - I couldn't believe it! It's really good quality - I've had some hit and miss from Hard Candy too; but, they did good with this one!
