Manicure Monday - Christmas Ornament Nail Art!

"O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, How lovely are thy branches" - what am I going to do when I have to find another back drop rather than use my Christmas tree anymore?! We are just over a week away from Christmas and I couldn't be more excited! 

One of my favorite Christmas past times is decorating the tree - we always get a real tree and there is just something about the smell and getting the decorations all set up that just gets me in the Christmas spirit! 

So, since we are keeping up our #CBBxManiMonday theme all month as Holiday nails, what better way to share one of my favorite things about the season, than to paint ornaments on my nails?! 

I have seen ornament nails on a couple of my favorite instagram accounts - thehangedit and oliveandjune; but, I think I made these unique with the red glitter and the polka dots! It just didn't seem as Christmasy without a little sparkle! 

For the mani, the products I used are:
-Essie Gel Couture polish in "Sage You Love Me"
-BMC red nail art polish 
-Ciate polish in "Espadrilles"
-Orly silver nail art polish
-Smackers polish in "Wickedly Stylish"
-Wet n wild polish in "Black Creme"
-nail art brush and dotting tool 

For this manicure, I started with 2 coats of the base sage green nail polish. Then using the red nail art polish, I made circles in the middle/tip of my nails for the ornaments and went over them with a glittery red polish. Then with the silver polish I made a little square on top for the tip of the ornament. With the black polish and a nail art pen, I circled around the silver polish and then painted the wire for the ornament to hang from. For a finishing touch, I used the white polish and made light polka dots! 

I'm loving the ornaments so much - it feels simple; but, I've really been loving some minimalist nail art lately!
