Five on Sunday - December 16, 2018

This post usually starts by wishing you all a happy weekend; but, it's already Sunday! Where did the time go?! It's so close to Christmas and it is such a busy time! So, I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was busy; but, good!

ONE

Last weekend was our annual Girl's Christmas Dinner gift exchange and we always draw names for gifts! It's always such a fun surprise! I think I'm super easy to shop for, so I always get amazing gifts every year! This year I got a cat trinket tray (or spoon rest), foil masks, bath bombs, and a homemade sugar scrub!

And, here is our group picture from our Christmas dinner! It was such a fun night as always! I love this group of friends!

Also, what was super fun about last weekend as well is I took my older son, Damian and his friend to see the WWE holiday tour. My cousin is a wrestler in the WWE and he was able to get us amazing tickets on the floor for the show! The boys had so much fun - I only recognized Jeff Hardy, who I used to watch wrestle when I was a kid!

This weekend we put on a kid's Christmas party for our work and it was so fun! We rented a hall and about 25 kids there - we were hoping for a few more; but, it was still a good turn out! We had a cookie decorating station and Elliott loved seeing Santa (he went back up a 2nd, 3rd and 4th time!)

FIVE

Have you guys watched Dumplin' yet?! I'm usually a little slow on the new Netflix movie uptake; but, I loved this book so much when I read it that I couldn't wait to check out the movie right away! I thought it was really cute - cut a lot of the school parts out of the book, but really focused on the overall theme of the book and I enjoyed it!

I hope you all have a great Sunday - and we are almost one week away from Christmas! Wow!

  1. I was eyeing Dumplin' and now I will have to watch it! Should I read the book first?

    1. It's cute! It's actually one you could probably watch the movie first, and then the book would just add more character development; but, I'm always a book before the movie person! And I loved the book!
