August 2018 - Monthly Favorites!

Here's a look at the top 5 products that I have been loving in August:

August 2018 - Monthly Favorites!

Natasha Denona Mini Blush & Glow ~ $23.00 CAN. A mini compact that’s perfect for giving cheeks the ultimate pop of color and glow on-the-go.

I love these little minis - this is such a great little set! The blush is a #14, described as a golden coral blush with a shimmery finish. The highlighter is All Over Glow Face & Body Shimmer in Powder #1 - light, a champagne shade. I did not reach for another blush and highlight for most of the month because I just loved the glow this set gave!

I will say right away that this duo isn't for everyone - it's definitely made for lighter skin tones. I'm in the light to light-medium tone and the shades work well on me; but, I'm not sure if you were darker than that, how well this would work on you. I do think they should release a couple of these in different shade sets. This is a really light blush shade and I like that it applies subtly and can be built up for a look that you like. I also love the shimmery finish of the blush in the Summer - it just gives such a nice glow on the cheeks! The highlighter is gorgeous as well. The formula is nice - I will have a review of this up soon!

Natasha Denona Mini Lila Eyeshadow Palette ~ $30.00 CAN. An extension of the existing Lila Palette, featuring five brand-new shades.

Oh look, another mini Natasha Denona product. I was really worried it would be overkill in this post to include two Natasha Denona mini products; but, I honest could not take either one of these out of my favorites - I seriously love them both!

I loved the mini sunset palette so much (review here and it made my favorites right away when I tried it), so I had to pick up the mini lila palette right when it was released. I love a mini palette because full size ND palettes are a little pricey! Now, I wasn't sure how well these shadow colours would work for me; but, they look amazing on - the formula is stunning and they are so easy to work with! That shimmery blue can go all over the lid without being hard to work with - also, I only used this to create a gorgeous, more subtle look for a wedding recently! I won't blab too much as I have a full review coming ASAP on this palette!

Graydon Hair Smoothie ~ sample shown (full size is $25.00 US). Give your hair the ultimate conditioning and detangling treatment with our Hair Smoothie! This thick blend of green goodness contains herbs like parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme to stimulate the scalp and reduce dandruff.

I looooove this conditioner - I honestly knew that the very first time that I used this at the Graydon event at Oak + Tonic! It was just that feeling of my hair being totally smooth, not frizzy in the slightest, and I didn't need dry shampoo for 2 days for the first time ever! I've used it with a couple of shampoos and I can say, I do not think I've used a better conditioner. It is full of vitamins, minerals, sage, broccoli oil, green tea extract, and more! This is amazing - it may be the only conditioner I will repurchase (and, I do not say that lightly!)

Rocky Mountain Soap Co. Breakout Buster ~ $10.00 CAN. Our Breakout Buster is a blend of natural therapeutic ingredients that help to calm and relieve acne spots and cold sores. The anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of the essential oils work together to combat breakouts.

This is great - this was actually a free product from Rocky Mountain Co. for their last freebie for the members of their toxin free movement. And, this works so well on breakouts. It's replaced my spot treatment patches and has been working so well! It is gentle on spots and I love the stick form!

Marc Jacobs Enamored Hydrating Lip Gloss Stick in "One Mauve Time" ~ $34.00 CAN. A sheer lip gloss in a stick with an irresistible, melt-on, cushiony texture that delivers conditioning color with a high-shine finish.

I cannot stop raving about this lipgloss stick - it my every day lip product! It is everything I want - a balm, a light wash of colour and a light gloss finish! This shade is gorgeous! It really can be worn with no makeup or can hold up to a dark makeup look too! I will be getting more colours of this product! It wears on the lips well and lasts a while and wears off nicely! 1. I have some slight regret over not buying that Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette during the sephora sale but I think I really need to give it a try! It just looks like such a fun palette and I'm glad the shades performed well for you!

  5. Ok first I want to say I LOVE your profile blog photo....it's full of colour and life. It's inspiring me to change mine to something more cheery :)
Now back to the blog pos :) I adore anything Natasha Denona. I own several of her 5 eyeshadow palettes. I just wasn't a fan of her blush and glow.I found the blush too sheer and the glow too shimmery. I hope that makes sense . Regardless I didn't return it , I gave it to my niece who was over the moon because she adores ND products.

    1. Oh, thank you so much!!! And, I could def see that interpretation of the blush and glow - it's actually what I thought made it perfect for Summer! I can see myself becoming an ND eyeshadow addict too!! They are so nice!
