Five on Friday - September 7, 2018

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week! I had a short work week as I took an extra day off after we got home from vacation and it was such a good idea! It was a really busy work week still, so I'm happy it is weekend!

ONE

ELF topbox circle

Thanks to Topbox Circle, I got to try out these 2 products from E.L.F. - the Lip Exfoliator in Mint Maniac and the Matte Lip Colour in Tea Rose. I haven't tried very many products from ELF before, so I was really excited to try these out!

I really like the application of the Lip Exfoliator - it is so handy not to dip your finger in a pot; but, this just doesn't have quite as much scrub as I need for my lips! The Matte Lip Colour was just okay for me as well - the application was just okay and the colour was quite cool toned for me. But, it is cute (and only $4!)

TWO

This week, my older son Damian started Grade 8! I can't believe he is in Junior High and he's just growing up soooo fast!

THREE

My husband and I enjoyed a vacation for 5 days in P.E.I. - we travelled for a friend's wedding and it was our first vacation away from Elliott. We had a lot of fun, enjoyed a beautiful wedding, and explored as much of the island as we could see! It was so beautiful! I have never been to the East Coast, so it was amazing to see!

FOUR

Here is a look at the couple of goodies I took home with me from P.E.I. - I found this beautiful vintage Little Women book in the cutest little antique shop and I always have to pick up some kind of homemade soap and this one's first ingredient is potato juice! Also, just a couple cute little goodies from the wedding, and some chocolates for Damian! I'm not a huge souvenir person, I always just pick up something small.
(Not pictured - the honey wine from a local meadery, and a couple local beers and wine!)

FIVE

Mmm... now that it's Fall time to me, it's time to get back in to making a soup of the week! This is loosely based on this Best Chicken Soup recipe - I used barley instead of couscous, but it was different because it has turmeric in it. It was pretty good. And, I made these biscuits "The Best Damn Vegan Biscuits" and they are the best! So easy to make and so yummy!

I hope you all have a great weekend!
