Here is a look at the 5 products I have been loving this month:
Mount Lai De-Puffing Jade Facial Roller Mini Size ~ $30.00 CAN (there is a full size roller for $50.00 CAN). A face roller that is built to have a cooling, soothing effect on the skin, promote drainage from the face, and reduce facial tension.
I am officially obsessed with facial rolling - I do it most nights when I apply my serum or sometimes a mask. I feel like these just popped up and everyone was talking about them, so I had to give it a try. I know the benefits of a facial massage; but, am a little lazy, so this makes it so much easier!
This roller is made with Xiyuan Jade that has balancing properties and jade rolling is great for overall heath and radiance of the skin - it targets puffiness and tension in the face. Just roll up and outwards (don't roll back down) and repeat in the same area for 3-5 times - the whole process should only take about 60 seconds and wash after! I love to use mine with my nightly serum; however, I heard from another beauty blogger that she puts hers overnight in the fridge and uses it in the morning! I have been using this for about a month and while my skin hasn't drastically changed, I think it looks a little less puffy and I think the benefits will just keep building the more I use it! (Also, if this is something you want a more detailed post on, let me know and I would be happy to do it!)
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask ~ $59.00 CAN for full size (there is also a mini for $29.00 CAN). A skin-smoothing, radiance-boosting sleeping mask with watermelon and hyaluronic acid for post-facial results, all in one jar.
I just did a full review on this mask - you can check it out here. Personally, this mask took me a little bit to warm up to - at first I didn't notice a big improvement; however, with the Summer weather and using it at least 3-4 times per week, I have noticed my skin is much brighter and smoother! I can see the hype around this finally - it works! And, it's finally available in Sephora Canada for those that are interested!
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water ~ mini size for $18.00 CAN (full size is $39.00 CAN). A three-in-one face primer and setting spray that hydrates, preps, and refreshes skin.
In the Winter the Smashbox Primer Oil was my go-to favorite primer; but, I needed something a little lighter for the Summer months so I decided to give the Smashbox Primer Water a try and I don't regret it - it is so good. It's just a really gentle, refreshing base to use because it doesn't add a heavy layer under foundation. I actually use it before and after applying my makeup and I found it's made my makeup last all day. I love a little mist mid-day as well to help your makeup not look cakey or powdery! Really happy with this - I find it a little lighter than Mac Fix + if you were to compare formulas.
L'Oreal Paradise Enchanted Eyeshadow Palette ~ $22.99 CAN (prices vary from $16 - $24 Candian depending on retailer). With multiple shades and finishes, the Paradise Enchanted Eye Shadow Palette flatters different eye colours and skin tones. The palette is infused with an enchanting fruit scent for an ultimate sensorial experience.
This is such a perfect Summer palette for me - I have been using it for work and weekend looks and just find that the shadows are really pretty and apply easily. The mattes are a little powdery; but, really easy to blend and the shimmers are soft and easy to work with. I love this because I know the shades are going to look pretty and I can make a look really quickly before work. This isn't the most innovative or exciting palette; but, it is good quality and I love my neutrals, so for me it really works! You can see swatches and a makeup look on my full post about this here! Also, it smells really lightly of fuzzy peaches and I love scented makeup!
Wet n Wild Color Icon Baked Blush in "Hummingbird Hype" ~ $4.99 US. Radiate like never before with these new blush colors that blend beautifully onto the skin to achieve a mesmerizing tropical glow. The formula's micro-fine pearl pigments boost skin glow for a polished look.
This is a really pretty and versatile blush - I can use this a blush alone, a blush topper or as a highlighter and it's really pretty as all three. It's obviously a really similar application for all 3 ways to wear it; but, its just versatile as you can pair it with so many blush colours to switch it up. This was the only blush I brought with me on a recent week long trip and I wasn't dissapointed. I think my favorite way to wear it is over top of a rosier blush and it just adds such a pretty glow to the cheeks that is perfect for Summer! You can see a look and swatches of this here!

I've been really curious about jade rollers, I may just have to bite the bullet and get one to try it out!
ReplyDeleteI am also curious about the jade rollers! I have the Watermelon Sleeping Mask, but have yet to try it. I am now sad that I didn't wait until it was available here and got it in Vegas with the stupid exchange :(
DeleteThat's why I went with the mini one and I'm happy I got the small one - I don't need anything bigger!
DeleteJayne, I paid in Anaheim so I did that stupid exchange too!
DeleteThe L'Oreal palette wasn't really on my radar until recently. I hope I can get it one sale. I really want to try it out. I'm also curious about Jade rollers.
