This subscription focuses heavily on make-up items - so that is something to keep in mind! (I personally love all the makeup though and they have sent full size palettes in the past!) While it is a little pricier than the more inexpensive beauty boxes, the majority of the products are full size, with a deluxe sample every once in a while.
Every subscriber generally receives the same products, but their is usually 1 or 2 items that have a few variations, so our boxes may not be identical!
Here is a look at my November Boxycharm:
This month's Theme is "Sweater Weather" which seems appropriate for November! Boxycharm always includes a detailed product card explaining the items that were included in each month's subscription.
Here is a look at the products I received:
Winky Lux Kitten Palette ~ $25.00. Inspired by the velvety feel of our feline friends, these ultra soft shadows glide on like a dream. The universally flattering collection of shades makes this palette as lovable as a kitten.
This palette was basically MADE for me! It's full of kittens and it's pink - I die! But seriously, how cute is this?! This palette features 4 finishes: holographic, matte, satin and shimmer! This isn't probably a colour combination that I would normally reach for; but, I actually really like this combination and I love that this has a holographic shadow in here too!
Here is the Winkylux Kitten palette swatched:
The shadows are nice - I thought they all swatched really well. I'm a fan of the mix of shadows and they will work for a ton of looks! The brand is also cruelty and paraben free which is great!
Luxie Beauty Quad Eye Travel Set ~ $32.00. Take your game on the go with this quad travel set created with hand-crafted synthetic brushes.
These are little mini eyeshadow brushes - I don't know how I didn't pick up that they were smaller in any other pictures or reviews! Anyways, they are super cute! I have really enjoyed the other Luxie brushes I have received in subscription boxes, so I think these will work well.
This set of 4 includes:
- 213 eye shading brush
- 221 flat definer brush
- 227 blending brush
- 207 medium angled shading eye brush
There isn't a super fluffy blending brush, but I do think you could easily travel with these and be comfortable creating eye looks! Luxie is a cruelty free brand as well.
KNC Beauty Collagen Lip Mask ~ $15.00 for 3 masks ($5.00 each). Innovative jelly mask for your lips that hydrate moisturize and plump your pout with natural ingredients.
I love using lip masks - they are something I tend to forget I have, but when I use them, I love them!
I did get a chance to try this and I'm was not impressed sadly! These did not adhere well at all and they were super huge. There was a ton of essence and they just would not settle down. I did lay down but even then they kept slipping around. I wore this for about 15 minutes and it lightly tingled the whole time. I just didn't think my lips were hydrated or improved at all after using these! Bummer.
Laqa & Co. Cloud Lips in Sunshower ~ $17.00 US ($21.62 CAN). Surprisingly fluffy, Cloud Lips Airy Matte Lipstick delivers full coverage color for a pillow-soft pout. Available in 4 high-pigment shades, these lipsticks were formulated to last all day without feeling stiff thanks to avocado oil.
This is a really pretty colour - you could get one of 2 shades in this months box. I thought the pigmentation was good; but, there is something about the applicator stick that I'm not in love with. I find it quite big so it's hard to get a precise line because it's really wide. Now, that being said I did try it without a lipliner and I think it will work much better with a liner. I love the shade so I will continue to use it. It was really lightweight and non-drying on the lips.
Cover FX lluminating Setting Spray ~ $39.00 CAN ($31.00 US). A quick-drying setting spray that sets makeup for all day wear and imparts instant, all-over illumination. It's alcohol free, so it's not drying to the skin. Perfect for all skin tones and types.
I'm happy with this - I like Cover FX and I am happy to see this in here! I actually watched a youtube video that was pretty clear - you NEED to shake the crap out of this or you will just have glitter all over you. So, I shook it and tested it out on my hand and at first I thought the video was exaggerating, then about an hour later I checked it and I seriously looked liked a glittery Twilight vampire! Holy! I didn't think it was that glittery on my face; but, be pre-warned!
And, of course there was so many great makeup products this month so I created a full look using all the products:
I used the WinkyLux Kitten Palette all over the eyes - my favorite is the Holographic shadow I used in the inner corner! Also, I used this Holographic shadow on my cheekbones as a highlighter. Also, I used all the Luxie brushes to create the eye look! I used the Laqa & Co. cloud lips as my lipstick and the Cover FX illuminating spray all over! Overall, I'm happy with how the products all performed!

Boxycharm came with 5 full sized items and a value of $121.00 US. This subscription came with a great variety - lipstick, eyeshadow, brushes, setting spray, and masks! I am really happy with all of the products in this month's box - other than the lip masks that didn't really work for me, everything else was really good. Boxycharm always has a huge value and is well worth the subscription price to me! I'm always amazed that Boxycharm can get all these full sized products every month - I love it!
