February 2017 - Monthly Favorites!

Here is a look at what I have been loving in February:

The Face Shop Mascream Sheet Masks ~ $5.00 each. First mask sheet with cream that feels like applying a whole jar of cream.

These Mascream masks come in a wide range - snail, brightening, firming, nourishing, etc - and seriously, they are amazing! The creamy essence makes using them a really different experience than a regular sheet mask! I reviewed a firming sheet mask here, and you can check it out if you are interested!

Besame Cosmetics Brightening Setting Face Powder in "Violet" ~ $27.00. A translucent matte face powder that color corrects all skin tones, sets makeup, brightens, and subtly highlights the complexion without shimmer.

The Violet powder is meant for light to medium skin tones and is meant to colour correct yellow and sallow looking skin; it will also help with red tones. I was a little iffy about trying a colour correcting powder, but it is much more subtle than using a colour correcting concealer. This gently balances out colour and really brightens the skin while not looking cakey or dry on the skin!

Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette ~ $19.95 US. Influenced by the lustrous beauty of the original Revealed palette, Revealed 2 presents another selection of twenty gorgeous mattes and shimmers.

I know Coastal Scents is not a luxurious brand by any means, but I am a big fan of the palette! The shades are all beautiful and are quite pigmented and blend well! I can use this everyday for work and have a nice look, at my not-so-glamourous job without feeling like I'm wasting my high end palettes (I hope I'm not the only who feels that way!) Also, this has some really beautiful matte transition shades that I have been loving for bolder eye looks too! I didn't reach for any eyeshadow as much as this the past month!

Sephora Collection Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation in "Cream" ~ $30.00. The ultra-fluid texture of this formula flawlessly melts onto skin for buildable light-to-medium coverage and the feeling of wearing no foundation at all. The formula glides on for foolproof application and moisturizes to create visibly smoother skin.

How have I not talked about this foundation as a favorite yet here?! I know I have talked about Covergirl and Vichy foundations, but what have I used in between those?! I actually went in to Sephora to get a Dior foundation and ended up liking this foundation more and have been using it forever now! But now, it looks like it is being discontinued - it is on sale for $11 each (and my colour is gone now, good thing I bought 3 of them in December when I saw them go on sale!)

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel - Top Coat ~ $11.99. The only true 2 step gel manicure with no light required. Step 1: colour with built-in base coat; Step 2: top coat activator (colour and top coat sold separately). Up to 14 days of colour and shine.

I love this top coat so much - I don't even use gel polish with it most of the time and it makes my polish last so long and not chip at all! It is nice and thick and works so well!
