L'Oreal Air Volume Mega Mascara in Blackest Black ~ $16.99 CAN.The Air Volume formula is air whipped to create a lash multiplying effect with high volume charge that is weightless on lashes.

This was one of the new hyped up mascara, so I picked it up and gave it a try a few times, but I didn't like this at all, in fact, it may be one of the worst mascaras I've tried. I liked the brush shape, but the formula is too wet, I hate the packaging so that it doesn't stand up, it was wet clumpy, give me spidery lashes and then also smudged and transferred everywhere.

Repurchase: Noooooo

Guerlain Meteorites Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer ~ sample size shown (full size is $85.00 CAN). For skin that seems lit from within, apply this smoothing liquid to clean, moisturized skin as an essential first step in any makeup routine.

I just shared this on my 21 in 2021 Project Pan - I finished this as much as I could before there was no more getting out. This was fine; it has the distinct Guerlain scent and the primer was fine. This is older and discontinued now.

July 2020 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

I set one of my 2020 goals to be actually sticking to my $100 a month Beauty Budget - last year I attempted this and didn't do so well, so I'm actually trying to be a little more strict on myself! I really want to make sure that I can use and enjoy the products I have in my collection and that I will really use the products I picked up! 

I always love my Monthly Haul posts to share with you everything I picked up (since I can't review everything I buy)! I also am trying to hold myself a little more accountable to buying products that I really want and will actually use!

Soo AE Haul ~ $47.28 CAN. I was really excited when I saw that Soo AE came out with a line of Hanbang masks, because I've used them from other brands and really enjoyed them! Soo AE is such an accessible k-beauty brand, so I love seeing these ingredients expanded to more brands! I also loved the look of the fruit line and a wine mask! The Glacier mask was added in as a freebie!

Lip Smacker Easter Tsum Tsum Minnie - Strawberry Lollipop ~ $4.95 US. Your favorite Tsum Tsum characters have arrived just in time for Easter! Add Easter Minnie Tsum Tsum to your collection, in a yummy Strawberry Lollipop Flavor.

How adorable is this little Minnie Mouse?! I love Tsum Tsums and these are just the cutest lip balms! This one smelled really good and was a good lip balm. 

Repurchase: Maybe, it was an Easter one so it's probably seasonal 

SooAE Hemp Dreams Sheet Mask & Mud Mask

I've tried a few SooAE masks before - I did a full week of masks reviews on the brand. What I really enjoy about the brand is that they have a huge range of masks, from unicorn printed hydrogel masks, to a black charcoal line, and a new vegan nature story fruit mask line! 

The Funnest Skincare Product of 2019

Yesterday was all about my Favourite product of the year, but as I was collecting everything I loved this year, I had another standout product and it was by far the funnest group of products I used all year - body masks!

Skincare Sunday Week of Affordable K-Beauty Masks You Can Find at Walmart - SooAE Masks and iN.gredients

Happy Skincare Sunday everyone! I've been very excited to share this post because if you saw on my first half of the #100DaysofSheetMask post, I recently used affordable k-beauty masks I found at Wal-mart (almost all are SooAE masks) for a whole week and they have a huge variety of masks to pick from!

This post was supposed to be a full week of SooAE masks; but, wait until the last mask and I have to admit I didn't even look at the masks and brands I was picking up), but now it has a bigger variety of brands and types that are affordable and accessible! SooAE is really easy for me to find in Canada at Walmart and all of their masks are only $3.77 CAN each, which is great! They have a huge range of hydrogel, fun mini masks and just a really great variety of sheet mask types! I love mask brands that are accessible and easy to find! 

Skincare Sunday - First 50 days of my #100DaysofSheetMasks

If you've been following along my instagram stories then you know on August 1 I started a #100DaysofSheetMasks challenge, where I basically wear a sheet mask for 100 days straight! I've been really wanting to get in to masking more frequently again, so I thought this challenge was the perfect way!

I didn't share any of the masks I used on my August Empties (I usually have a Month in Masks feature), but I thought I'd round up my first 50 days of masks and share some quick thoughts on each mask! 

August 2019 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

Time for a look at everything I picked up this month - I really love these Monthly Haul posts - they give me a way to share everything I pick up each month as I don't always post about everything I get!

For 2019, I put myself on stricter $100 a month budget (I'm getting a little less strict as the year goes on unfortunately), not because I need to; it's actually to be more conscious about what I purchase. I also really want to make sure that I'm enjoying and using everything on my collection!

ColourPop Haul ~ $71.17 CAN ($52.20 US). I have resisted quite a few of the Colourpop monochromatic palettes, but when the Orange You Glad palette was released, I couldn't resist! So, I also picked up the yellow Uh-Huh Honey palette, a couple of lip crayons, and a couple of zodiac Scorpio shadows! 

Skincare Sunday - SooAe Unicorn Glow Eye Mask

Happy Skincare Sunday everyone! I love finding fun new sheet masks and I just came across this adorable SooAe Unicorn Glow Eye Mask in Walmart and I had to give it a try right away!

June 2019 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks!

Here's a look at my beauty garbage from June (yes, I know this is a super late Empties post!):

Mac Prep + Prime Fix+ ~ $33.00 CAN. A lightweight water mist that finishes makeup, while gently soothing and refreshing skin. 

I love Fix Plus - it's a solid formula of a priming and setting mist! I featured this product way back in my Monthly Favourites in June 2016 and I just talked about it recently in my Favourite Setting Sprays post! I've purchased this in mini scented versions and I love it all. It's a great priming and light setting spray! 
Repurchase: Yes!

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ~ sample size shown here (full size is $26.00 CAN). A leave-on lip mask that soothes and moisturizes for smoother, more supple lips overnight.

This lip sleeping mask is amazing! It made my Best of 2018 Makeup products because it was so good! This little sample lasted me for a couple of weeks, so this was a handy little sample and this is the best formula!

Skincare Sunday - Soo AE Intensive Neck & Decolletage Mask

Who knew that there are sheet mask made for everywhere on the body other than your face?! I really thought that there was some hand and foot masks; but, did you know that there are mask for you neck and butt?! This month a little group of us are teaming up to feature masks for #AnywhereButTheFace all month!

April 2019 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

Time for a look at everything I picked up this month - I really love these Monthly Haul posts - they give me a way to share everything I pick up each month as I don't always post about everything I get!

Plus, this year I think these posts will hold me a little more accountable - I put myself on a  $100 a month budget, not because I need to; it's actually more to test myself and be more conscious about what I purchase. I also really want to make sure that I'm enjoying and using everything on my collection! (I certainly don't expect myself to be perfect each month with my budget; but, I really like knowing I'm thinking my purchases through!)

I've mentioned here before that I'm rather obsessed with PC Optimum points - I've always shopped at Superstore and am a member to the PC Insiders for free grocery pick up, etc. But, there is something so fulfilling about getting all this stuff for free!

It's time for week two of #CBBGetsSheetFaced and this week is all about Food masks, so I will review all seven food masks I tried this week! The whole month of February, Jayne from Cosmetic Proof and Chantal from Chantal's Corner and I are teaming up to use 28 masks in February and we have a different theme each week!

This is my February Ipsy Bag and this is the last of my Ipsy subscription! I got my first Ipsy bag back in May 2014, so I have been subscribed for almost 3 years!!! I think next month will feel a little weird not getting an Ipsy bag in the mail. I unsubscribed because while it is a good deal every month, I just haven't been getting everything I love. Also after almost 3 years, I'm starting so see some repeats!

Masking is a huge part (and probably my favorite part) of my skincare routine! I try to use all types of masks as often as possible as I find they really help moisturize and improve my skin!

Fruits & Passion Hydro Gel Face Mask - Toning ~ $3.00. This refreshing Hydro Gel Face Mask with a vitamin E derivative and cranberry extract contains an essence specially formulated to improve the appearance of your skin. I love hydrogel masks - this mask came in 2 pieces and fit well. It had enough essence that it lasted a long time, but didn't slip around on my face at all. I liked it and it was cooling on my skin.
