Here's a look at my July and August Beauty Empties:

L'Oreal Air Volume Mega Mascara in Blackest Black ~ $16.99 CAN.The Air Volume formula is air whipped to create a lash multiplying effect with high volume charge that is weightless on lashes.

This was one of the new hyped up mascara, so I picked it up and gave it a try a few times, but I didn't like this at all, in fact, it may be one of the worst mascaras I've tried. I liked the brush shape, but the formula is too wet, I hate the packaging so that it doesn't stand up, it was wet clumpy, give me spidery lashes and then also smudged and transferred everywhere.

Repurchase: Noooooo

Morphe Continuous Setting Mist ~  mini size shown here for $15.00 CAN (full size is $21.00 CAN). A setting mist to defend your makeup artistry. 

I absolutely love that this setting spray is a continuous mister - the application is so perfect! No need to worry about a thick spray or blotches landing on your face. Seriously, I love the mister! This made my Favourite Setting Sprays and it is great for every day. It does have a glowy finish,, but this is great! 
Repurchase: Yes, I will (I have another already!)

Too Faced Cosmetics Primed & Peachy Cooling Matte Skin Perfecting Primer ~ deluxe size (travel size is $16.00 US). Cooling matte primer blurs and smooths your complexion with a brightening peach tint that works on any skin tone.

This is a really good primer - I love the peachy scent and the matte finish of this. I enjoyed this. 

Repurchase: I think it's been discontinued 

Kao Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+/PA++++ ~ $19.30 CAN. This updated version of Biore’s most loved UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ is powered by the innovative Micro Defense formula to prevent uneven application. 

This is a fantastic sunscreen - it made my Favourites in April 2021. This is a great Japanese made sunscreen and the formula is light, super absorbent and effective. It laso wears well under makeup - if you have been looking for a face sunscreen and haven't found your favourite formula, this one is amazing! 

Repurchase: Yes, just trying a different one first 

Belif The True Cream - Moisturizing Bomb ~ sample size shown (full size is $50.00 CAN). A cushiony cream that provides dull, flaky skin with an explosion of comforting moisture, leaving it feeling supple, smooth, and deeply nourished.

This was a good moisturizer - nothing out of this world; but, good. I'm just going back through my skincare stash to use up my oldest products and I like this one. 
Repurchase: Maybe, I have others I prefer more 

Dr. Lipp Tint - Elderberry ~ $14.00 CAN. Add a subtle hint of ultra-moisturising colour to your pout with the Dr.Lipp 100% Natural Moisturising Colour Lip Tint in Elderberry; a tinted balm made with just four natural ingredients that intensely hydrates lips.

This was a really comfortable lip balm - I like the coloured lip tint and it was really hydrating on the lips. This was my daily work lip balm. 

Repurchase: Maybe, I have more to use up first 

Lipsmacker Disney Emoji Lip Balms ~ $5.97 CAN.

The scent of this one is Ice Cream Bar and it smells really yummy! This was a decent lip balm - just a basic formula, but not the most hydrating on the lips. 

Repurchase: Nah

Catrice Coconut Balm ~ $7.99 CAN. Coconut Kiss! This Catrice nourishing lip balm is enriched with coconut oil, argan oil and vitamin E, leaving lips moisturized with the scent of tropical coconuts.

I love the smell of coconuts, so this is such a good smelling balm. And, it is moisturizing on the lips; but, this lip balm is super white and it leaves a white cast over the lips. It makes it hard to wear out, so I'm tossing it. 

Repurchase: No 

Nabla Major Pleasure Mascara ~ $23.25 CAN. Major Pleasure mascara boosts your lashes with instant volume, extreme length and an extraordinary panoramic effect. 

I ended up really enjoying this mascara - it was a nice and full finish. I found it a little on the wet side when I first used it, but as it dried out, it just got better and better. The brush was full and hourglass shape and my lashes were volumized and full. 

Repurchase: Maybe! 

Skaai Deer Valley Dental Care Lip Balm ~ free. 

I wanted to talk about this because it is made be a Canadian company Skaai - I enjoyed this lip balm and it was my work pocket lip balm (it was on it's last legs and then went through the wash!). 

Repurchase: I will happily pick one up at my next dental appointment 

Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch ~ $6.24 CAN (prices vary by website). Acne Pimple Master Patch heals acne, blemishes and prevents future breakouts quickly. 

These are a holy grail in my collection - these made my favourites all the way back in September 2015 and I still repurchase consistently, and repurchase them in bulk. These clear up acne so well and so quickly!
Repurchase: Yes - I have plenty of backups 

Victoria's Secret Coco Lotion Hydrating Body Lotion with Coconut Oil ~ $12.01 CAN. This best-selling dream cream is all whipped up for a cloud-like feel.

This was a sample that I took along on one of my trips to the cabin - this smelled good and worked well. 

Repurchase: Probably not, I have so many lotions to get through

Zoella Beauty Splash Botanics Quench Me Sorbet Lotion ~ $12.99 CAN. Treat your skin to a scoop of body sorbet. This light gel with hydrating coconut water and radiance boosting lychee will leave your skin feeling beautifully soft and scented.

This was a big pot of lotion and took quite a while to get through - it was best used in the Summer as it was a light, refreshing lotion that was cooling on the skin. I really enjoyed this one and I liked the scent. 

Repurchase: Again, so many lotions to go through 

Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief ~ $59.99 CAN. A blend of conditioning oils fight irritation, discoloration and breakouts caused by a damaged skin barrier. 

Okay, this made my Favourites earlier this year, but I'm not sure it was as good as I thought - it was creamy, but I think it was adding to my acne and skin irritation. I was excited to see this brand at a Canadian retailer, but the sunscreen came in older packaging and I got worried that all the products were old, so I'm just getting rid of them while they aren't doing amazing things. 

Repurchase: Maybe, I saw they just started shipping to Canada so I may order direct 

Sephora Collection Cotton Flower Creamy Body Wash ~ sample size shown (full size is $8.00 CAN). Use Sephora Collection gel either as a tranquil bubble bath or a refreshing shower gel.

This came in a past advent calendar, I just packed this along for a trip to the cabin and it was fine. The scent wasn't really my favourite, so this was just okay. 

Repurchase: Nah 

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel ~ 100 ml for $9.95 CAN. The one that started it all: this pink, shimmery gel smells just like bubblegum and cotton candy and has been one of our top sellers for over a decade.

This is a classic - Snow Fairy is my absolute favourite Lush scent! The scent is lovely and sweet and I like the Lush shower gel formula - this is the one product I continuously buy every holiday! 

Repurchase: Yes! 

XO Treatment Room Super. Soak. ~ $?. Dead sea salt and pink mineral salt. 

This has a nice floral scent to it - it came in the Mother's Day box, so this was good for 2 baths and I thought it was nice and relaxing and great to use! 

Repurchase: It was limited edition 

The Lost Jawarat Bath Salts ~ $3.99 US. Soak up some magic with the We Hunt the Flame inspired bath salts created by The Soap Librarian. Perfect for reading in the tub!

This is scented with chamomile, lavender, orange peel and hibiscus - it had some little dried flowers in it and was great to use for one bath. It was good and I love when book boxes include bath products! 

Repurchase: I would yes 

Neal's Yard Remedies Mandarin & Clove Hand Wash ~ $23.00 CAN. 

This is a good hand soap - I enjoyed the scent and the formula worked well. This scent seems to be discontinued. 

Repurchase: Probably not for $23 

Drybar Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler ~ $30.00 CAN. A lightweight detangler that protects hair from heat (up to 450°F/232°C) and preps hair for optimal performance of styling products.

I use detangling products after every shower, so I was happy when I got this in a subscription box. I thought this was pretty good, I just wasn't the biggest fan of the scent. I did think it worked well though.

Repurchase: Not likely 

IGK First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo ~ sample size shown (full size is $38.00 CAN). A powerful dry shampoo that cleanses even the most oily hair and scalp with oil-erasing, odor-eliminating charcoal powder.

I thought this was a really good dry shampoo - of course, because it's almost $40 for full size! This worked well and doesn't leave a white cast and thought may hair looked good after using this! 

Repurchase: Probably not

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo ~ travel size shown for $18.00 CAN (full size for $34.00 CAN). A formula that enhances hair smoothness, volume, strength, and shine.

I do love this formula, it's probably my favourite or at least top 3 favourite dry shampoo formulas. It smells good, little to no white cast and adds just the right amount of texture to the hair (just a little, not too much). It is also on the pricey end, but I do like it! 

Repurchase: Most likely 

Gilchrist & Soames Shampoo ~ hotel sample. 

Gilchrist & Soames Conditioner ~ hotel sample. 

These are from the a hotel that we stay at every year - I've seen this brand at higher end hotels, so it seems good and I actually thought this set worked really well!

Repurchase: I would use them again! 

Verb Volume Shampoo ~ sample shown (full size is $20.00 CAN). A body-boosting shampoo that is designed to gently cleanse hair, provide weightless lift, and protect color.

Verb Volume Conditioner ~ sample shown (full size is $20.00 CAN). A volumizing conditioner that softens hair and provides root-lifting body.

This was another sample set that I took along on a trip to the cabin - these were pretty good. No concerns, and they worked well. 

Repurchase: Maybe

Repeat from above - I used two of these in the Summer - I wear face sunscreen daily and I like this one on my arms and chest during the Summer as well! 

Repurchase: Yes, just trying a different one first 

Belif Hungarian Water Essence x2 ~ samples shown (full size is $56.00 CAN). An instant, lightweight hydration recharger serum that is powerfully effective for deep, lasting hydration.

I have quite a few of these essence samples - they are perfect for packing along on our trips to the cabin and these work really well! I thought these were nice and hydrating. 

Repurchase: Maybe 

XO Treatment Room Heavy C ~ $89.00 CAN. Heavy C is unique in chemical structure due to the ethyl group forming an ether with the 3-hydroxy group of the ascorbic acid, which results in much higher stability. 

This is one of the only vitamin c serums that I am able to use - this is a very stable formula and it certainly has not made my skin react or breakout and I use it every morning. This formula in particular will help target anti-aging by boosting collagen production and repairing uv damage, but it's also added to a much more even skin tone as well as less breakouts and a healthier skin appearance overall! (Make sure you use an SPF every day with this!)

Repurchase: Yes, ordered another one! 

Gillette Satin Care Sensitive Skin Shave Gel for Women ~ $4.49 CAN. Gillette Satin Care Sensitive Skin is a shaving gel for women, with Aloe Vera, is specially designed for sensitive skin. 

This is a good shave gel - I liked the formula and it worked well! 

Repurchase: Yes 

Acuvue Oasys ~ $63.99 CAN for a pack of 12.

Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism ~ $53.99 for a pack of 6. 

Nothing exciting here - my go-to contacts, as I have pretty dry eyes and these help. One box is for each different prescription.

Repurchase: Yep

Mitchum Clinical Soft Solid ~ $8.99 CAN.

Deodorant is nothing special; but, I love the clinical strength formula and this brand is my go-to. I like that it is both an antiperspirant and a deodorant.
Repurchase: Yes

Clear Care Plus Cleaning and Disinfecting Solution ~ $19.97 CAN for a set of 2. Not only does Clear Care Plus Cleaning and Disinfecting Solution clean and disinfect your contact lenses with the bubbling power of hydrogen peroxide, it also surrounds your lenses with long-lasting moisture.

This is a great contact solution - I switched to a hydrogen peroxide solution well over a year ago (with only one mishap of not letting it rinse long enough). This is at least a 6 hour solution so you can't wear your contacts the next day unless you have enough time; but, it's great! Much better at cleaning than regular solutions!
Repurchase: Yes! 

MarySoapBar Aurora Natural Artisan Soap ~ $? 

I  picked a few of these up at the Invermere Farmer's Market - I love handmade soap and these are so pretty. They are nice and gentle and I enjoyed these.

Repurchase: Ya, maybe 

Banana Boat Kids Tear Free Sunscreen Lotion ~ $7.99 CAN. Banana Boat Kids sunscreen is a pediatrician tested, tear-free formula that's ultra gentle on skin with no added oils or fragrance.

Okay, I don't normally talk about only kids products; but, this sunscreen was sooo bad - it came with a huge whitecast and just didn't work. 

Repurchase: No

Coppertone SPF 30 Sun Screen ~ $7.97 CAN. 

I can't find this specific sunscreen online - I think it is the same as the regular packaging. This was fine, we used this all Summer and it was good. no complaints. 

Repurchase: Maybe, I prefer another brand over this

Repurchase: Yes! 

Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey Mask ~ $3.90 CAN. Enriched ingredients, intensive moisturizing effect. Makes glowing and moisturizing skin. 

Along with the previous Papa Recipe mask is delightful - I love the black masks. They are super hydrating and really great for the skin! I will review these soon! 
Repurchase: Yes

Soo'AE Hanbang Mask - Cica ~ $6.00 CAN. Specially formulated with a blend of 10 traditional Herb Extracts, Houttuynia Cordata, and Centella Asiatica Extract, known as Cica.

This is one of the masks for the Hanbang line - I love Cica on my skin and this was nice and hydrating and soothing on my skin. I really enjoyed this. 

Repurchase: Yes, probably 

Alright in July and August I used up 41 products - I thought I used up quite a bit of makeup and skincare during the month. I didn't use a ton of masks, but I'm hoping to use more over the next couple of months!
