April 2019 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

Time for a look at everything I picked up this month - I really love these Monthly Haul posts - they give me a way to share everything I pick up each month as I don't always post about everything I get!

Plus, this year I think these posts will hold me a little more accountable - I put myself on a  $100 a month budget, not because I need to; it's actually more to test myself and be more conscious about what I purchase. I also really want to make sure that I'm enjoying and using everything on my collection! (I certainly don't expect myself to be perfect each month with my budget; but, I really like knowing I'm thinking my purchases through!)

Shoppers Haul ~ $3.88 CAN. Oh ya, you read that right! I've mentioned here before that I'm rather obsessed with PC Optimum points - I've always shopped at Superstore and am a member to the PC Insiders for free grocery pick up, etc. But, there is something so fulfilling about getting all this stuff for free!

Urban Decay Game of Thrones Eyeshadow Palette and Sansa Stark Vice Lipstick

Woo hoo - the Urban Decay Game of Thrones collection comes out in stores today, May 2, 2019 at Sephora! It's already been released on Urban Decay's website (and has since totally sold out), and it is also available on the Sephora website! Yes, I was one of those people that stayed up late and purchased a couple of products from the Urban Decay site at launch time (I was reasonable and only grabbed a couple of things though!)

I'm a pretty big Game of Thrones fan - I've read all the books and seen all the shows, and since those books are really long, I can brag that I'm a true fan (I'm only kind of kidding to those of you who haven't read the books...). But really, I'm a big fan - my husband's birthday parties have been Game of Thrones themed, I've cooked a ton of food featured in the books and I'm pretty sure for the finale we are going to a costume party.

I've been pretty honest on here that I hadn't really tried a lot of  drug store brands prior to blogging - I really stuck in my Sephora bubble. And, blogging has really opened my eyes to drugstore makeup quality and given me the opportunity to try different brands than I normally would!

That being said, I don't think I've ever tried a product from Almay and that made me excited to try this new Spring products out from the brand! Almay's makeup products are designed with sensitive skin in mind - they are hypoallergenic and fragrance free! It's always great to see affordable, accessible makeup products that won't irritate the skin, especially for those that are sensitive!
