I'm always excited to round up my MOST favourite products of the year - I just shared my top makeup products of 2023, so make sure you can check that out here! So, it's time to round up my favourite skincare, hair and nail products - I always pull from any products that I've tried within the year, whether it was released in 2023 or not - if I've tried it this year and loved it, it's in here!

With that being said, everything I talked about on my Monthly Favourites, I still love; but, when I think of the best products of the year, I think of the ones that have been total standouts or game-changers in my routine! So, that is what I'm going to focus on for this year's Top 8 Favourites!
Here's are the products I was loving most of all:
Haircare
JVN Complete Blowout Styling Milk ~ $39.00 CAN. A clean, lightweight, heat-activated styling cream that adds smoothness, style memory, and protection against heat and humidity.
This is a great product - I use it when I'm heat styling my hair as it just makes it so smooth and soft with no frizz! I typically straight blow dry my hair and I find this helps with frizz, a little body and makes it look so soft! Plus, it smells so good! By far, the best styling and hair product I used all year!

Nails
OPI x Barbie Nail Lacquer in Hi Barbie! ~ $8.99 CAN. OPI Nail Lacquer polishes are OPI's original nail polish formula. It has over 200 shades to choose from and up to 7 days of wear with Fast-drying formula.
I love the OPI original formula, so this is no surprise that this polish is on here, but the Hi Barbie shade is just the most picture perfect pink creme polish - it's great in two coats, wears well, and is over delightful!

Pueen Latex Tape Liquid Peel Off Cuticle Guard ~ $14.99 CAN. Pueen Latex Tape protects your skin from stamping, gradient and marbling messes, making cleanup a breeze. Or use it as a stretchy, flexible peel-off base coat, for those chunky glitter bombs.
I think in the past, I've used some pretty terrible cuticle barriers (like we're talking plucking all the cuticle guard off with tweezers and destroying my fingers). So, I finally encountered a great one, and this is fantastic. This goes one in one coat, dries quick and peels off all together. So good!
Holo Taco Favourite Sister polish ~ $14.00 US. She is my Favourite Sister… who also happens to be my only sister. Designed by Simply Nailogical’s sister Jen, this bright red frosted metal polish is fit for a blood relative. Make your nails reflect like red foil with a sprinkle of scattered holo so you can one-up all other siblings.
Again, there is no surprise that this, along with the OPI polish formula made my favourites of the year - they are fabulous formulas! But, this polish itself is stunning! Favourite Sister is a gorgeous bright red - it is a beautiful foil, with just a hint of holo glitter. The best part is this red can be used year round - Valentines, Summer, Christmas - it works for them all and was one of my most used polishes!

Skincare
Paula's Choice Resist Barrier Repair Advanced Moisturizer ~ $38.00 US. An advanced repairing moisturizer that strengthens, smooths & improves skin’s delicate barrier in 30 minutes + locks in all-day hydration.
Over the last half of 2023, I've really been focusing on building back my skin barrier and focusing on soothing and smoothing. I was having some reactions and dryness from over-exfoliation. This (along with the Biotherm below) really worked to help repair that barrier and strengthen my skin. It is nice and thick formula - it is hydrating and so it really soothed my skin and helped settle everything!
Biotherm Life Plankton Elixir Repairing Serum ~ $107.00 CAN for 50 ml (or $80.00 CAN for 30 ml). A new generation of face serum which acts on your specific skin concerns no matter what your age or skin conditions are. The Elixir serum defends, soothes and regenerates the skin, promoting the cell renewal process. This serum is all about healing and regenerating the skin - this worked so well and has been great! This serum has some vitamin c and hyaluronic acid to brighten the skin; but, it also has Biotherm's Life Plankton ingredient that is full of nutrients to repair and sooth the skin! I have used almost the full bottle and it's amazing - my skin is just really hydrated and soothed from using this!

Okay, this may be the best skin cream ever!!! I slightly over did it with my skin this Summer, I was using too many actives and was just making my skin sensitive. I decided to minimize my routine and just focus on my skin barrier and this cream is amazing - it's a thick creamy texture and really repaired and hydrated my skin and locked everything in. I used this every night as the last step in my nighttime routine and it's going to be my go-to evening moisturizer!

PanOxyl Creamy Wash Cleanser - Benzoyl Peroxide Cream 4% ~ $11.99 CAN. This daily wash cleans and unclogs pores to clear existing breakouts. I have combo-skin that can be acne-prone, but also very prone to hormonal break-outs so I went to get my skin assessed and was recommended a benzoyl peroxide cleanser (I've had this to-try for a little while but was scared it would be harsh or drying on my skin - I was very wrong!) This was really creamy and has genuinely improved my skin, when it came time for my hormonal breakouts, it was so minimal and overall my skin has improved now that I've been using this. Make sure you use this for at least 30 seconds on the skin - I use it as my second cleanser every other evening and it's been perfect for me!
