Monthly Beauty and Book Haul - February 2023

Last year I set a monthly beauty and books budget at $200 per month and I really stuck to it! I am trying to be thoughtful in my purchases, so this has been holding me accountable for being reasonable with my spending. Since it worked so well last year, I'm really trying to do the same thing this year!

I do always love my Monthly Haul posts - it's a good way to keep track of everything that I picked up each month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know!

I purchased everything in this post

Sephora Haul ~ $120.75 CAN. There were a few new releases that came out this month that I was really excited about - the Urban Decay Quickie concealer and the Fruit Babies set really caught my eye! I have already reviewed and tried the makeup products - you can see my full post here! The Makeup By Mario lip balm came highly reviewed and the Olaplex was the coupon code, with a couple of foil samples.

VenCo Order ~ $26.25 CAN. Okay, Cherie Dimaline is one of my favourite authors - I have read all her backlist and plan on picking up every book she writes. This is about feminist witches taking down the patriarchy and so far, it's amazing!

Amazon Books ~ $19.90 CAN. After enjoying the first Lovelight Farms book that was a holiday book, I wanted to pick up the next one since it looks like a cute Spring love story! Love the cover and flowers and am excited to read this one!

Sephora Order #2 ~ $31.05 CAN. The Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm Powder Flushed was high on my list of things to try - I enjoyed the primer one, so I love their multi use products and this blush is great. The Fresh Black Tea was the add on code. I just reviewed this blush and you can see this product on me here

Auction and Thrifted Books ~ $10.50 CAN. I couldn't resist picking up Love and Other Words - I did just read it, so check out my upcoming monthly book review as this is a good romance. Then, while thrifting, I found The Tea Dragon Society in paperback (this is my favourite graphic novel series and I couldn't resist it!)

Marketplace Books ~ $10.00 CAN. I loved this book - you can see a full review on it here! I listened to this on audio, so since I loved it so much, I found a copy on marketplace so it has a lovely home in my library!

Chapters Preorders ~ $20.69 CAN. I preordered a couple of books for this month, but sadly with the Chapters issue this month, these are a little delayed! I haven't received either yet, but since I planned them for this month, I'm keeping them here and I will read them whenever they arrive!

So, this month I spent $239.14 CAN, so a little over my $200 budget - honestly though, everything was a good buy this month and there is nothing that is not being used!
