Five on Sunday - December 18, 2022 ~ Christmas Books on my TBR, Yoga Jeans Order, Joe Fresh Order, Book Light and Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio

Happy Sunday everyone (I'm really late this weekend - we had a Christmas party on Friday, so I was a bit of a write-off yesterday and I'm finally getting caught up!)

ONE

I purchased everything in this post - this post contains affiliate links

Can you believe we are one week away from Christmas?! I hope everyone is all ready to go - I got my final touches done yesterday so I'm ready to go! I love to pick up a few holiday themed books for the holidays, so I'm sharing a few books on my TBR that are Christmas themed!

Here are a few Christmas books I'm planning on reading this season:
  • Midnight in Everwood by M.A. Kuzniar ~ This is a spin on the Nutcracker with a ballerina, a toymaker and a final dance performance. I love The Nutcracker, so I think this sounds great! This does have some mixed reviews, but I'm still hoping to get to this one this season!
  • Whiteout by Dhonielle Clayton, Tiffany D. Jackson, Nic Stone, Angie Thomas, Ashley Woodfolk, and Nicola Yoon ~ This is a group of intertwining stories over a night in Atlanta when the city comes to a halt with a snowstorm. This is the group that did the same thing with Blackout - I enjoy that they are like short stories, but all connected in someway!
  • A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone ~ This is a spicy holiday romance featuring a porn star turned holiday movie star and a hollywood bad-boy trying to turn his image around - what could go wrong?! I have already read this and enjoyed it, but it was a pretty spicy read!
  • The Afterlife of Holly Chase by Cynthia Hand ~ This is a contemporary fiction, but it is a Christmas Carol retelling - our main character is actually the new ghost of Christmas past (as the previous she did not heed the warning last year). This sounds like a really interesting retelling!
  • Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison ~ This is a holiday romance that takes place on in a small town on a Christmas tree farm with a fake dating and friends to lovers tropes - I have read this one too and it was a great pre-holiday read!
What are you planning on reading this season?!

TWO

My Black Friday shopping orders have been rolling in over the month - I haven't ordered from Yoga Jeans in a while, but a month ago i had one of favourite jeans rip beyond repair, so I did need a couple of new pairs! I like the Rachel style as they are skinny jeans and they fit well!

THREE

I also ordered from Joe Fresh - I really liked the pink sweater from the Jillian Harris, so when the Apres Ski Sweater from the line went on sale, I picked up both colours! I love them - they are nice a thick and really comfy to wear!

FOUR

I ordered this book light (it's from a Facebook shopping group - no link, but here's something similar on Amazon) and it's lovely. It's in the shape of a wooden book, unfolds like a book and then is a cute little light. It's actually rechargeable and super handy!

FIVE

Have you guys watched the new Pinocchio or, as it's called Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio?! I watched it this past weekend and I really liked it. It's a slow and of course a little darker than the Disney version, but it was beautiful and it certainly had me a little emotional! Lovely.

I hope you all have a good week!
