Five on Saturday - November 5, 2022 ~ Mario Family Halloween Costumes, Halloween Baking, October Vegetarian/Pescatarian Meals, 12 Year Work Award, and Monthly Declutter

Happy Saturday everyone - this is coming in a day late, since I shared my book reviews yesterday!

ONE

I purchased everything in this post - this post contains affiliate links

We take our Halloween pretty seriously, so I was really excited when Elliott said he wanted to be Luigi this year - I've been wanting to be Princess Peach for years, so it's finally time! How cute did all our costumes turn out?! When we were trick-or-treating, E said it was the best night of his life! Plus, we had a party and it was a blast!

TWO

And, here's a little peek at the Halloween baking I did - I made ghost meringues and topped them on a chocolate cake with a buttercream and ganache drizzle! So good! And I made chocolate roll out cookies and made them in to gingerbread skeletons!

THREE

I've been loving sharing more about me going vegetarian and I'm loving that you guys have been enjoying seeing all the recipes and veggie meal ideas! I'm not preachy about going vegetarian, but I do think everyone should reduce their meat consumption, so even if one day a week you want to do meatless Monday, hoping you will find some good suggestions!
(Also, this month there are a few pescatarian meals in here as I eat fish and seafood once in a while!)

-Broccoli Cheese Soup with Garlic Toast (I use Budget Savvy Diva recipe)
-Best Pasta Recipe (cook roma or sweet tomatoes in oil with garlic, and mix with cheese and pasta)
-Grilled Cheese and Veggie Noodle Soup
-Crunch Wrap Supreme with Beyond Meat with homemade Guacamole
-Homemade Pizza with Spinach, Sundried Tomatoes, Olives and Pineapple
-Egg Muffin with Egg, Cheese and Veggie Sausage Patty
-Sushi Rice Bowl with Tofu, Cucumber, Enoki Mushrooms, Edamame and Seaweed
-Italian Quinoa Casserole (using The Live-In Kitchen recipe)
-Lentil Shepard's Pie (using Spend With Pennie's recipe)
-Toast with Cream Cheese, Cucumbers and Everything Bagel Seasoning
-Butternut Squash Ravioli with Pesto and Pistachios (Costco pre-made pasta)
-Breakfast Bowl with Potatoes, Peppers, Poached Eggs and Guacamole
-Cabbage Soup with Lentils
-Thai One On Me Soup (used Big Oven recipe
-Warm Salmon Salad with Sweet Potatoes, Kale, Pumpkin Seeds Feta and Tahini Dressing
-Vegetarian Lasagna (Superstore Brand pre-made)
-Sticky Sesame Garlic Tofu with rice and coleslaw (the best recipe from Thriving on Plants IG)

Do you have a favourite veggie meal? Hope you enjoy these - I plan on doing them every month!

FOUR

I just received an award for completing 12 years of service - I've actually been on the job for 13.5 years, but you have to complete the full 12th year and then this comes. I don't talk about work often since this is my safe space clear of that, but this is a cool little thanks for being in the frontline service field in Alberta (Corrections more specifically).

FIVE

My monthly declutter is just one polish from Bio Sculpture - I typically love their formula, but this one is just a little thin and needed more coats than I like.

I hope you all have a great weekend - we are celebrating my birthday this weekend!
