Belif Aqua Bomb Brightening Vitamin C Cream ~ $56.00 CAN. A lightweight cream born from the Aqua Bomb DNA with added vitamins C and E plus four types of hyaluronic acid for visibly bright, glowing skin.
I tried the original Belif Aqua Bomb so long ago (actually back in 2016 before it was even readily available in Canada - I had to special order it back then!) and I really enjoyed it. It was a lovely gel texture and my skin loved it!
So, I've continued to use Belif over the years since then I've enjoyed so many of their products. When I was contacted about trying the newest lotion in the Aqua Bomb, I was so excited to give it a try!
So this lotion is like the original Aqua Bomb with some added ingredients: Lady's Mantle for its anti-inflammatory properties; Vitamins C and E to visibly improve skin’s vibrancy; and a Quadruple Hyaluronic Acid Blend for maintaining long-lasting moisture within skin. This is meant for bright, hydrated glowing skin!
This is such a nice, light gel-ish texture that is super lightweight texture - it's light enough to be a daily moisturizer in the Summer, but like the original Aqua Bomb, could probably stand up as a Winter lotion as well too! It does says it's best for Oily, Combo and Normal skin, so perhaps the gel texture may be too light for those of you with dry skin. I'm on the oily-combo spectrum so it does work for me!
If I'm being honest, I had a long struggle with getting Vitamin C to work with my skin (it's a pretty unstable molecule and it can be a little tricky to get right) and I've finally found a serum that works well on my skin.
What's nice about this lotion, is that it didn't irritate my skin at all - it had a good amount of Vitamin C to add a little glow effect to the skin, but not too much to get a reaction. I really enjoy this and it's become my every day moisturizer. It's also great for the Summer if you are trying to lighten how many products in your routine you are using during the day, this could make up for a serum as well too based on the additional ingredients! (Of course, the potency is not the same as a serum, but if you are oily and a serum and moisturizer are too much in the heat, this is a good alternative!)
But, I need to stress when using Vitamin C, it does make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so please use your SPF (which you should be doing every day anyways!), but it's really important when using a product with an active in it!
I am super sensitive to Vitamin C too so I only use it during the day or else I can very red in the cheeks!
ReplyDeleteThis was a great way to try it I think - little lighter than a full serum!
