Five on Friday - September 10, 2021 ~ August 2021 Owlcrate Box, Candy Shop Cafe, Dynamite Clothing Haul, New Samsung S21 Ultra, and Recent Costco Finds

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all had a good week - mine was nice, always great to have a short work week!

I purchased everything - this post contains affiliate links

I just received my August Owlcrate subscription (there was some delays waiting for products, so it's a little late!) and this month's theme is "Dark Academia" - each month the book Owlcrate includes is signed by the author and comes with a note from the author as well. They often have special edition covers just for the box, and they seem to include a lot of exclusive items just for Owlcrate, which is so fun! As a bookworm, I have been loving this subscription!

The item's included in this month's box are:
  • Book - A Lesson In Vengeance by Victoria Lee ~ This is a dark and twisty thriller about a centuries-old, ivy-covered boarding school haunted by its history of witchcraft and two girls dangerously close to digging up the past! This specific edition has an exclusive colour (it's white when the original background is black), is signed by the author, and has sprayed silver pages! (Also, just realized it has art under the dust jacket as well!)
  • Reading Kit ~ This is a little stationary set that you could flag or jot down notes if needed, and this set is inspired by If We Were Villains! Cute, I always use little stationary, even if I don't use it while reading!
  • Book Sleeve ~ I have been loving these book sleeves to help carry books around in my purse or bag. This one is inspired by The Raven Cycle and is designed by Dri Gomez.
  • Ex Libris Stamp ~ This is a cute "From the library of" stamp, so you stamp it on your books and write your name underneath! Super cute idea and designed by Little Inkling Designs.
  • Tea ~ This tea by Riddle's Tea Shoppe is inspired by Truly Devious and the blend is called Ellingham Academy Brew and is a nice calming Rooibos blend, which is my favourite!
  • Enamel Pin ~ The pins are all designed by Icey Designs, and this one is inspired by the book of the month. This one is a typewriter with a password, ex scientia ultio.
  • Book Tin ~ This is the third book in the A Darker Shade of Magic book tin series, and this one is White London - it's called The Someday King: Magic Restored and it is very cool! These are designed by Forensics and Flowers.
  • Metal Bookmark ~ This is such a stunning intricately designed metal bookmark - it is inspired by The Secret History and says "It is better to know one book intimately than a hundred superficially". This one is designed by paperbackbones!
If you are interested in signing up, Owlcrate is $32.99 US per month, plus shipping is $14.99 to Canada. I actually skipped the September box because I wasn't interested in the book, so hopefully I'm interested in the October box!

This past weekend, we went out to an adorable little place in Calgary - The Candy Shop Cafe! It's a fun drink and dessert themed bar with a pink flower wall and tons of pink everything! I had such a good night and it was fun to try out a new place!

I picked up a few little items from Dynamite recently - one is a cute little Kelly V-Neck Seamless Crop Tank, the Seamless Muscle Bodysuit, and this adorable Koketit Graphic Boyfriend Tee - they all fit good, but the t shirt is quite loose fitting!

It was time for a phone upgrade recently, so I just picked up the new Samsung S21 Ultra - this is the biggest phone I've ever seen, but the features and the photos were fantastic, so I'm very excited to have something new and shiny to play with! I hope it's great for photos and videos!

Here are some recent Costco finds - I picked up these fun Star Wars pyrex dishes because we needed some new glass dishes. Then I also found this set of Lole Joggers and two pairs for $20 was fabulous - they are comfortable and lovely! The Eddie Bauer jacket for Elliott is reversible and perfect for Fall!

I hope you all have a great weekend!
