Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all had a good week - mine was good and you guys, my oldest kid started Grade 11 yesterday and I can't even believe it! I'm looking forward to the long weekend (and I'm going out for drinks with some friends tonight!)

Okay, I'm so excited to share that I'm starting a new little endeavour - it's a fun little "Blind Date With A Book" thing! It's called @blinddatewithabookyyc and if you are reader, I would love for you to give my new page a follow and see if there is anything that catches your eye! 

I think I'm going to keep this an instagram/facebook marketplace thing for right now. I have such a book buying thing, that I thought I'd turn it in to a fun little shop - I've seen these and they look great, but I've noticed the ones online are a little pricey. I'm keeping my prices from $4 - $12. Also, I'm not going to make a shop because I'm not amazing at shipping things, so I'm hoping the bulk of the buys will be within Calgary, but if you are interested outside of Calgary, I will ship at cost! Last weekend was my 6 year wedding anniversary! It was pretty quiet - my husband worked all day so we kept it pretty easy and ordered in. Elliott helped me make a chocolate cake and we celebrated with a good bottle of wine!

Does September get anyone else in to planning mode?! I only love yearly planners January - December, not the ones that start in September, but I always tend to pick mine out early so that I get a good one! I got a couple of planners from Watkins Media and I'm so excited to share them!

This past weekend I took Elliott to the Calgary Farmyard and we had fun! Elliott really wanted to feed the animals, but he got chased by a chicken and was a little apprehensive with the rest of the animals. He still had fun with the slides and activities, and they still have a few sunflowers hanging on!
