Five on Friday - August 6, 2021 ~ Monthly Makeup Baskets, New Van, Scratch Monthly Mani Kit, and Costco Finds

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all have a great week - I have been in Fairmont for a family vacation all week so it has been nice and relaxing!

I purchased everything in this post - this post contains affiliate links

I have been keeping up my Monthly Makeup Baskets throughout this pandemic; but, I am finding it a little hard to use everything in a single month as I am wearing masks all the time. So, for now, I am going to do bi-monthly baskets just so I can get a little more use out of the products that I'm using!

Here are the products I'm focusing on for August and September:
  • Rodeo Drive Highlighter by OFRA Cosmetics ~ This is old Favourite from May 2017 and it's really pretty - that classic bold highlighter, but it's good! I rarely reach for this recently, so want to make sure I still love this.
  • e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo in Spiced Apple ~ This is such a gorgeous and made my Monthly Favourties in December of last year - great formula and perfect for the transition in to Fall soon! Happy to play with this.
  • Buxom Wanderlust Primer-Infused Blush in Ibiza ~ This is a very pigmented formula blush so I tend not to reach for it often, but it wears nicely and can be applied lighter if needed.
  • L'Oreal Paradise Enchanted Scented Blush in "Fantastical" - this is a nice, peachy blush - very flattering on, but I haven't reached for it in so long! But, I want to make sure that it still works well!
  • Jouer Powder Highlighter in Funfetti ~ I got this fun, shimmery highlighter in a Christmas set a couple of years ago and it's pink and iridescent and pretty and I love how it looks on!
  • Natasha Denona Mini Blush and Glow - This is another past favourite that I haven't reached for in a while, so I need to get some more use out of this! I've got a few little trips this month so this will be great to bring along with us!
I'm excited to get use out of these over the next two months!

And, here is a little recap of the products I've been using for last couple of months:
  • Revlon Skin Lights Prismatic Face Highlighter in 201 Daybreak Glimmer ~ This is a newer to me drugstore highlighter and it's a pretty, classic highlight shade, so it was good and classic.
  • Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Hu$tla Baby ~ I got this a couple of years ago in a little mini set and I haven't use this much, but it is so impactful and pretty on!
  • Burt's Bees Blush in Shy Pink - This is a great blush formula - it made my Best of Makeup in 2018 -  it's easy and comfortable to wear and this is a great pink shade!
  • Etude House Happy With Piglet Jelly Mousse Blusher in PK002 ~ I've had this in my collection for a little while, and I just recently got in to cream blushes more, so I enjoyed this!
  • Benefit Cosmetics Fouroscope Air Goddess Palette ~ This is a brand new face palette - and I loved it! It made my Favourites recently and it's so great, I'm considering getting another one!
I'm really excited to use all these products for the next couple of months!

We got a new minivan this week! All I can say is finally - we ordered a new Toyota Sienna months ago and there were so many delays. It didn't come in time for our Penticton trip, but got us out to Fairmont great!

I just got my July 2021 Scratch Monthly Mani Kit and as always, they are super cute! This is an easy, affordable subscription that features nail wraps from GoScrachIt that are exclusive to the kit each month and designed by NinaNailedIt!

The Scratch Monthly Mani Kit is $18.00 US monthly with free shipping everywhere! Each month you get an exclusive set of wraps that aren't available for purchase and a little extra mani goodie with it!

This month's subscription came with:
  • Easy Peasy nail wraps
  • holographic film
I have to say, these nail wraps are easily my favourite nail wraps to use - I have tried quite a few wraps and nothing compares! You can see past reviews and nail looks on Scratch wraps here if you are interested! These ones are really pretty and I can't wait to use them soon!

I thought I'd share a few new Costco finds - I love that they are carrying Lole and the leggings are great, so when I saw a set of two sports bras for $20, I new I needed to try them out and they are good. Then they also had these Mondetta sweaters that are ridiculously soft and lovely!

I hope you all have a great weekend!
