Alright, I'm a total sucker for anything astrology, so if you make me a Scorpio lipstick, I will try it immediately - especially when it is only $10!
I purchased this lipstick - this post contains affiliate links
A few months ago, Sephora Collection came out with a whole astrology range of their #LipStories lipstick - I've tried a matte shade before in this line and I really liked it, so I couldn't wait to pick up the Scorpio shade right away!
The 12 shades in the line have a variety of finishes - metallic, satin and matte finishes and the shades range from a light nude to red to berry to this deep oxblood shade.
Sephora Collection Astrology Lip Stories Lipstick in Scorpio ~ $10.00 CAN. Astrology Collection offers a lipstick shade for every sign: from independent Aquarius to practical Capricorn. Highly-pigmented and lightweight, and just one swipe gives you full coverage with a collection of satin, matte, and metallic colors.
The Scorpio shade is matte formula described as oxblood - a deep purpley burgundy red shade (it's certainly a Fall colour to me, but I couldn't wait until Fall to try this out!!!)
This is such a stunning shade - it's the perfect "Scorpio" shade! It's deep, sultry, and mysterious and I love it! I also like the matte finish in these lipsticks because it's not a dry matte, it's still got some body in it and looks really pretty on.
Here is a look at Scorpio on me - this is a gorgeous colour; but, you can tell it's a little patchy on my lips. I think I need a solid lip scrub and then a lip primer underneath and I think it will look better (I will certainly keep trying to make this look less patchy because it's such a pretty shade!)
Here's a close-up of the Scorpio lipstick on - you can see here it's a little darker on my dry patches. Next time, I will also use a lipliner too to keep the lines nice and clean!
I love that the packaging of these lipsticks - they include three traits with each sign and the constellation!
Overall, I do like the shade and the formula of this lipstick. Sadly, it is a touch patchy, but I think I can fix it with a little extra lip maintenance (scrub and primer) and then I think it will look really great on the lips! Have you tried this lipstick line yet?!
