Monthly Beauty Favourites - January 2021

Here's a look at my Favourite products of January:

Monthly Beauty Favourites - January 2021
The Bio Sculpture polish was received as a PR sample -this post contains affiliate links

I actually don't have any makeup favourites this month - I've been trying a couple of new things and playing with some old stuff, but nothing that stood out as amazing to me in the makeup department! But, I do have two purple nail polishes for balance!

Ha - I do always like to pick a top five but I just set aside what is working well, so to me it doesn't matter if they are similar - if I like them, I share them!

Monthly Beauty Favourites - January 2021

Laneige Hypoallergenic Cica Sleeping Mask ~ deluxe sample shown (full size is $45.00 CAN). A hypoallergenic overnight mask that helps soothe stressed skin and strengthen skin’s moisture barrier for a healthier-looking, more hydrated complexion.

This is a fantastic night cream - it's rich and thick and absorbs quickly in to the skin! I really think overall that my skin has been looking and feeling way better with well over a month of continuous use! My skin is looking more even and healthy and smooth - I'm loving this!

XO Treatment Room Heavy C ~ $89.00 CAN. Heavy C is unique in chemical structure due to the ethyl group forming an ether with the 3-hydroxy group of the ascorbic acid, which results in much higher stability. Proven for collagen synthesis (skin firming/anti-aging), skin brightening, and direct inhibition of melanogenesis (production of melanin pigments). Vitamin C has more data on it than any other topical antioxidant in skin care. However, the molecule can be quite unstable and degrade quickly.

Alright, that description is very scientificy, but the amazing thing about Annie, the creator of this line is that she will explain everything and why she makes her formulation - my journey with vitamin c has been a little weird, when I first started out with it, I didn't think my skin was meant for it because I kept breaking out or reacting weird, but this one is a stand out. When it's described as the most stable - it certainly has not made my skin react or breakout and I basically use it every morning. This formula in particular will help target anti-aging by boosting collagen production and repairing uv damage, but it's also added to a much more even skin tone as well as less breakouts and a healthier skin appearance overall! (Make sure you use an SPF every day with this!)

Derma E Therapeutic Tea Tree & Vitamin E Antiseptic Cream ~ $25.99 CAN. Derma E's soothing, deep-moisturizing cream blends Tea Tree (5%) with Vitamin E (3,000IU) and other synergistic herbs, vitamins and natural oils to comfort skin from a wide variety of conditions.

Alright, this cream I have been specifically using on a specific skin concern - I have one of those little side lip cuts and it has not been going away. So someone recommended this cream and it has been helping keep it clean and starting to heal it! Plus, I've been using this as a little spot treatment during the day when I have been getting some acne and it's really helped heal it quickly, but also help clear up the red mark or scarring really quickly!

I just swatched this whole Bio Sculpture My Winter Garden collection on a Manicure Monday and this polish was a stand out! It is possible the most beautiful purple polish in my collection - I just love the tone of it and the creme polish formula is so lovely! I will use this all the time!

Morgan Taylor Make 'Em Squirm polish ~ $12.95 CAN. Make 'Em Squirm is a metallic purple pearl.

Oh ya, another purple polish! I also swatched the polishes that I picked up from Morgan Taylor x Disney Villains collection on a Manicure Monday post. This is a stunning pearlescent almost duochrome polish - this is a blue to purple shift and it is absolutely stunning! Certainly a really unique polish in my collection and I love it!

What were you loving this month?! I'd love to hear!
