Hard Candy is an affordable, accessible brand that is exclusively available at Walmart or on the Hard Candy website. I've found that this brand makes some seriously amazing lip products (and amazing liquid eyeshadows and colour correct concealer!)
While I've loved their liquid lipsticks, a lip gloss always seem like a lighter choice for Spring and Summer, so I was excited to try a couple shades out!
Hard Candy Plumping Serum Volumizing Lipgloss ~ $6.00 US/$6.98 CAN. This outrageously shiny, volumizing, hydrating lip gloss is formulated with Hard Candy’s exclusive Plumping Serum System for fuller lips. Formulated with hyaluronic acid that gently plump skins and quickly minimize the appearance of fine lines. Added fruit extracts add hydrating volume.
I think the packaging of these glosses is really pretty and the price tag is fantastic! It's got a nice, sweet scent that is lovely; but, not overwhelming when you are wearing it. The applicator is a small, simple doe-foot applicator.
I really enjoyed the formula - it smoothed easily on the lips in a semi-sheer, very glossy finish. It had the slightest bit of tackiness that reminded you that you were wearing a lip product, but not uncomfortable or sticky to wear.
The formula also lasted well and wore off nicely without really bunching or looking weird. I did not really notice a super plumping effect (maybe more of a smoothing effect); but, it also didn't come with a very tingling or uncomfortable sensation.
Birthday Suit is a really classic nude pink that is a perfect everyday type lipgloss shade for me - if I'm wearing a lipgloss anywhere, it would be a colour like this!
Here is Birthday Suit on me - classic nude pink on my skin tone.
This was a really easy gloss to throw on with any look that I would do, and just looks like a little step up from my typical tinted lip balm!
Flower Child is a new shade for Spring and it's a lovely light purple shade that's so fun and really different colour from anything I have!
This is a fun, brighter shade that is still a semi-sheer formula that is comfortable to wear!
Flower Child is lighter on the lips than I thought, making it a much more "wearable" shade for someone like me who doesn't tend to wear brighter shades!
Overall, I'm really liking the Plumping Serum lipglosses - they are comfortable and easy to wear and a good formula overall. Plus, the price tag is fantastic; you can't go wrong!
Are you on team Liquid Lipstick or Lipgloss? Would you try this formula out?
These sound like great lipglosses! I'm all about the gloss so I may just have to check them out.
