Graydon Plant Powered Skincare - Hair Event at Oak and Tonic, Calgary!

Last week I was so excited to be invited to attend a Hair Event with Graydon Skincare at the lovely Oak and Tonic in Calgary! 

Graydon is a natural, Canadian brand that focuses on products powered by plants and superfoods! Think of their products as a way of feeding your skin with nutrient dense, bioactive ingredients that awaken the skin! They also try to source the majority of their ingredients in Canada. Their motto is "we mix up superfoods + science and create mindfully made skincare to support your skin, your health + wellbeing."

Also, this was my first time at Oak and Tonic in Calgary - what a charming hair salon and shop! They offer a whole range of hair services, spa services, and nails. Also, they have an in store shop and an online shop selling all Canadian, natural beauty and hair brands! Such a great idea and was the perfect setting for this event - Graydon Skincare was the first brand that Oak and Tonic started selling! 

I was so lucky to meet the creator behind the brand - Graydon! We chatted about the brand and her background in yoga and a big shift to healthy eating which really inspired the plant powered thought behind the skin care ingredients! And, I got an introduction to the whole product line which sounds amazing! 

Using the Lavender Lemon Myrtle Peppermint Essential Oil Blend, Graydon guided me through and head and face massage with tips and tricks! I will be honest, with all my skincare love, I do not often take the time in my routine for a massage and it was amazing! I could really feel Graydon's yoga background and just a general holistic approach to skincare! 

After my skincare tutorial with Graydon, I was treated to a blow out courtesy of Will from Oak and Tonic using all Graydon products! We started with a scalp massage using the Germs Away AromaBlend - which is a lemongrass essential oil blend, that smelled amazing! 

After that my hair was washed using the Graydon Matcha Mint Shampoo - which is a creamy, natural shampoo that will nourish your hair! The formula is meant to cleanse your hair without drying or stripping, leaving your hair shiny and smooth! I think Shampoo and Conditioner are some of those products that you know right away if they work for you or not, and this worked for me! The formula felt great on the scalp - it was cooling and really refreshing, plus it smelled amazing! 

Then, we followed up with the Graydon Hair Smoothie - which is a conditioner and detangling treatment that is made with parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme! I can't remember the last time I didn't have to use a detangling treatment to brush my hair out after washing it! It was so smoothing and nourishing for my hair! 

And Wil was amazing with hair - he took my challenge that my thin, fine hair does not hold a curl and proved me wrong! I can't believe the only products in my hair were the oil, shampoo and conditioner! This also lasted 4 days without me washing my hair (and I only needed dry shampoo on day 3! That is absolutely unheard of with my hair - usually I have to use dry shampoo the day after washing it! I will absolutely purchase these full size - they were amazing for my hair! 

I was also very excited to receive this little goodie bag with a whole range of products from the Graydon line! I'm so excited to see how these plant powered products work on my skin - you know I'm most excited for the Superfood Mask and Scrub!
