Manicure Monday - Rainbow Nails For Pride Month!

Happy Manicure Monday - can you believe that it is already June?! June is also Pride Month, so this week I am doing Rainbow Nails!

Manicure Monday - Rainbow Nails For Pride Month!

How cute is this little rainbow across the 3 nails?! I'm super happy with how this nail art turned out - it's really simple; but, super bright and cute! Plus, it's actually really great nail art on short nails, which is perfect because I had to cut off all my nails this week!

I am teaming up this week with Jayne from Cosmetic Proof and Trysh from Prairie Beauty Love - make sure you check them out for their nail art looks with our "Rainbow" theme! I love teaming up with these ladies because while we work with the same theme, we always have such different looks!

The products I used for this week's Rainbow Nail Art are:
-Formula X nail cleanser, base coat and top coat
-bundle monster red nail art polis
-kiss orange nail art polish
-colour club yellow polish
-art deco green nail art polish
-charlotte russe blue nail art polish
-butter london ultra violet polish
-LVX polish in Lolli - light pink for base polish
-nail art brush (not pictured - for the polishes that are not nail art polishes)

I freehanded the Rainbow; but, it's really simple if you have nail art polishes!

The steps I followed for this Manicure are:
1. Nail Cleanser and Base Coat
2. 2 coats of Base Polish (I used a light pink polish for contrast) and let dry well.
3. Using the red nail art polish (or red polish on a nail art brush), start with the middle nail and start 3/4 of the way up the middle nail and create a light arc for the middle of the rainbow.
4. Then continuing with the red on the ring and pointer finger, create the middle to the end of the rainbow with a strong curve down towards the edge of the nail.
5. Then continue the pattern with orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.
6. Let dry well and finish with Top Coat.

Again, I love how the Rainbow looks over the 3 nails! If you are looking for a little more Rainbow nail art inspo - I have done Rainbow Striped Nails and Mini Rainbow Accent Nails - any of these would be great to do this month and show your support for Pride Month!
