This subscription focuses heavily on make-up items - so that is something to keep in mind! While it is a little pricier than the more inexpensive beauty boxes, the majority of the products are full size, with a deluxe product every once in a while.
For the past boxes, every subscriber generally receives the same products, with 1 or 2 items that have a few variations. Boxycharm did recently announce that that they are expanding their personalization, so I think from here on out, we will see even more variations with each box. I personally liked that everyone got the same thing in Boxycharm - I started to get annoyed with other subscriptions when everyone else got products that I had hoped to get. So, it's not my favorite move; but, it makes sense as they are trying to expand.

The theme of this month's box is "Caribbean Queen" and there is some really great products to support that theme! This box also comes with a big fold out product card explaining everything!
Here is a closer look at the products I received:
Alamar Cosmetics - Reina Del Caribe Vol.1 palette ~ $28.00 US. This palette features 8 highly opaque shades, reminiscent of the beauty and culture of Cuba. Dive into the pigments and pearls found in the intense metallics, or ground your look with the warm richness of the creamy mattes. For a more intense application, refer to the shade names that feature a water droplet, these shades can be used with a wet brush—the sun symbol represents the shades that should be used with a dry brush.
This is a brand new brand and palette that was started by Gabby Trujillo - a makeup artist who also is on the media team for Boxycharm. If you follow Boxycharm on instragram, she is usually doing their stories.
So, I love that we get to try a new palette from a new brand and the shades are beautiful for Summer! I love the inspiration behind the palette and the packaging is bright and fun too!

These shadows swatched really well and I thought they applied pretty good. For the mattes, I thought Coco-taxi was smooth and easy to blend on, while Tropico was a little stiffer and harder to blend on my eyes. It did still blend, just took a little work. I actually think it's because it's quite pigmented, that to get to the level I wanted took some smoothing. I think it might be meant to pat on and leave very pigmented in one area, as opposed to lightly blended through the crease. For the metallics and shimmers, I love the application of Varadero and Celia - I thought both applied nicely with a brush or finger patted on the eyes - stunning pigmentation! I still need to try the rest of the shadows in the palette.
Battington Lashes in "Monroe" ~ $28.00 US. This 3D lash provides moderate length and dramatic volume. These are our best-selling hybrid lash, giving your eyes the best of both worlds!
These lashes are 100% silk and are about a 3.5/5 for volume - they are a little more natural looking than the other lashes I own which is great!
These lashes do have a slightly thick band, which I thought might make them harder to apply; but, these were easier than I thought to apply! They looked really pretty on the lashes, although I should have trimmed mine down a touch before applying. I did find them a little heavy on my lashes, but I don't wear falsies very often. Overall, I will absolutely keep wearing these - you should be able to get up to 25 wears out of them.

I am a fan of Luxie brushes - we've received them in Boxycharm and other subscriptions before. I actually have the tapered highlighter brush already and really like it. I like that Boxycharm usually sends a set of brushes and look forward to using these!

This is a mini size product, so I think that's why we received 6 products in this month's box. Boxycharm is usually all about sending full size products (with the odd travel size here and there). I'm a fan of the Bum Bum cream; but, it's not something I will buy myself - the full size is $57 CAN and that is way too much for me to spend on a lotion! But, I will use it!
Jonteblu Eyeliner Pencil in Charcoal ~ $5.00 US. Line your eyes with the rich intensity of Jontéblu Eyeliner Pencil. The creamy long-wearing formula glides on smooth and adds drama to any desired look.
I'm not the biggest fan of pencil eyeliners and personally, I don't love this charcoal shade. You can see below that it just looks like a faded black and I know some people would love that - just not for me.
Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in "Verona" ~ $20.00 US. Everybody gets a lippie. This matte liquid lipstick is long-lasting color that perfectly outlines and fills in lips, turning your pout into kissable velvet. Stunning pigments stay put all day with minimal transfer, while maintaining a comfortable wear. Infused with Vitamin A and antioxidants, lips look and feel healthy all day.
Verona is a new shade from Ofra and is described as "mocha nude brown". I really like the formula of Ofra liquid lipsticks - they are comfortable to wear and are long lasting! This shade just isn't a great nude on me - I think it will look good on a lot of people, it's just a little too brown for me!

Boxycharm came with 6 full sized items this month (actually 8 products all together) with a total value of $141.54. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this month's box - I love the eyeshadow, lotion and lashes, the lip formula is good, just not my shade, the brushes are good and the only thing I don't love is the eyeliner.
This is the look I created using everything in the box - the eyeshadow palette, liner and lashes are on the eyes and the lipstick is on as well!
And here is a closer at the eye look I did: from the Alamar palette, Coco-taxi and Tropico are in the crease, Celia is all over the lid, Varadero is in the outer corner and smudged on the lower lash line, and La Costa is in the inner corner. Also, have the Jonteblu charcoal liner on the waterline and the Battignton lashes in Monroe on! I think this is such a fun look for Summer!
