Five on Saturday - June 2, 2018

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - mine was super busy at work so I am finally looking forward to regrouping this weekend!

ONE

We just got these edited pictures back from a photographer in Los Angeles - these were taken at the Griffith Observatory! Such a cool spot with a great view of the Hollywood sign and overlooking the whole city! It's hard to believe that this was already in January!

TWO

My palette of the week for May 21-25, 2018 was the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette! This palette is so cute and smells delicious. I really like the shadows in here and this one sort of got lost in the mix, so I'm glad that I was reminded how much I like this palette! I kept the looks pretty neutral for work; but, if you want to see that pop of purple in a look, you can check out a past look I did, plus swatches here.

And, my palette of the week for May 28 - June 1 is the Lorac Mega Pro 1 palette! I was so excited to get my hands on this as I love Lorac shadows! I got this through a company that delivers products to Canada and I will have a whole review of the company and this shadow palette are coming up this week!

FOUR

Ahhh... this past week marked 3 years since my Bachelorette Party! We had such a fun weekend in Kelowna - we went wine touring, out for dinner, and had plenty of fun playing games and hanging out in the pool at the house we were staying at! Such a fun time - and right before I left for this trip, we found out that our jobs had been saved (after our work was to be closed and my hubby and I were going to lose our jobs), so it was an extra good weekend!

FIVE

Here are a few things that I decided to declutter in May - the first 3 items are just products from Boxycharm that didn't work out for me. The Tartiest Pro Glow highlighter had too chunky of glitter in it, the Adesse Liquid Lipstick was too brown for me, and the Pur Cosmetics Highlighter and Contour palette just isn't something that I will use. That also made me get rid of a past contour palette from IBY palette - I never use this at all. Then, I decluttered the Buxom custom palette I made - you can see swatches and a look here; but, the shadows just weren't really amazing quality honestly. They were really pretty, just have them already in other palettes.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. Great job on decluttering! I stopped my Boxycharm because I realized I wasn't really using the products. I only have the original Lorac palette, I wish they were more easily accessible here.

    1. Thanks - decluttering always feels good! I wish Lorac was more accessible here too!
