Skincare Sunday - The Face Shop Chia Seed Line

Happy Skincare Sunday everyone - I have a complete skincare routine for you today from The Face Shop! It's a look at their Chia Seed line!

Skincare Sunday - The Face Shop Chia Seed Line

The Chia Seed line is designed for people with normal to oily skin who are looking for a refined, but simple skincare routine! Chia seeds have all the properties to help moisturize and invigorate the skin - omega 3, antioxidants, and minerals!

The Face Shop Fresh Cleansing Wipes ~ $15.00. These embossed fresh cleansing wipes deeply cleanse the pores, leaving the skin clean and soothed without tightness.

These wipes are amazing! They take absolutely everything off - this is showing eyeshadows, liquid lipsticks, etc. It is also is great with mascara too! These are really saturated so they last through everything! I will keep repurchasing these!

The Face Shop Chia Seed Fresh Cleansing Foam ~ $15.00. This fresh cleansing foam deeply cleanses the pores. Its mild formula moisturizes the skin while removing impurities. Purified skin remains soft to the touch with a healthy glow!

This is a pretty simple cleanser - it comes out creamy and lathers to a gentle foam. I don't mind this cleanser, but it's personally not my favorite product in this line. I find this to be a little stingy if it gets in my eye and it's a little drying on me. For me, this is how I feel about most cream to foam cleansers, so if you like this style of cleansers, you may enjoy this!

The Face Shop Chia Seed Soothing Mist Toner ~ $27.00. Hydrating mists sooth dry, sensitive skin.

I love mist toners - this one isn't actually available on the website anymore (it looks like they switched to a pump toner). I think this is a really hydrating toner and felt great on my skin! It has been quickly added as a regular in my routine!

The Face Shop Chia Seed No Shine Hydrating Water ~ $35.00. A pore cleansing toner that replenishes skin with moisturizing Chia Seed Extract while removing excess oil with Cotton Seed Extract.

This is also a toner that describes itself as a water which makes me think it will be really gentle on the skin! This has a pump-top so you just push down with a cotton pad and then apply to the face.

This also suggests 2 alternative uses:
-pour into a mist bottle and mist and apply whenever, wherever
-soak gauze/muslin cloth cut for a face mask and use as a soothing mask that also removes excess oil

I tried to use it with a D.I.Y. face mask:

I poured a little No Shine Hydrating Water, in to a bowl and soaked the mask in the water. Then I wore the mask for approximately 20 minutes. My skin felt clean and refreshed after. This isn't a moisturizing mask and I did find my skin a little bit dry after, but I finished my skincare routine and it felt good! I would definitely use this as a mask again - feels like a good clean but still felt light and refreshing!

The Face Shop Chia Seed Moisturizing Serum ~ $35.00. This concentrated serum brightens and softens skin. Composed of gel capsules that burst upon contact with your skin, it offers all the benefits of the Chia seed. The epidermis is nourished and hydrated, and skin is invigorated without a sticky effect.

This is a good serum - it is moisturizing and hydrating! I do think it worked well on my skin and did not leave any stickiness. The pump is great too - it dispenses the perfect amount of serum to apply to the whole face. I have been enjoying this so far!

The Face Shop No Shine No Shine Intense Hydrating Cream ~ $44.00. Moisture-replenishing cream with hydrating Chia Seed Extract and mattifying Cotton Seed Extract. Our hydrating cream provides a surge of moisture to relieve dehydrated skin and absorbs excess sebum at the same time.

It's no secret that I love get moisturizers so I was excited to see that this was a light gel moisturizer! This does offer a good amount of hydration to the skin - it absorbs well and made my skin feel good. It wasn't super mattifying, but it did absorb excess oil.

Overall, I did enjoy the Chia Seed line from The Face Shop - I thought all the products delivered what they were supposed to do and left the skin feeling super clean! Because these are made for normal to oily skin so they are not the most moisturizing - if you have very dry skin, this isn't the best line for you (check out the Dr. Belmeur line!) I'm always happy with The Face Shop and I like finding accessible k-beauty skincare!
