Happy Manicure Tuesday - today also happens to be Dia de Muertos, which is also referred to as Day of the Dead. This is a Mexican holiday celebrated to honour family members and friends who have passed.
I love the beautiful Sugar Skulls that are associated with Dia de Muertos so I thought that is what I would do for my nails this week!
I love how these turned out! I decided to keep the skulls to accent nails and use a matching polish shade for the remaining nails!
Here is a look at the productsI used:
-Formula X nail cleanser, base coat and top coat
-Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Hot Pink
-Dermelect Pink Polish (I could not see a name!)
-Sally Hansen Hard As Nail Xtreme Wear in "Violet Voltage"
-Sally Hansen Hard As Nail Xtreme Wear in "White On"
-Wet 'n Wild wildshine polish in "Black Creme"
-nail art brushes and dotting tools
The base of this Sugar Skull manicure is a skull - I did a how to on a skull nail last year, and you can view it here! Once the skull was complete, I used the nail art pen and drew a heart on top. Then using a dotting tool, I created the flower shape around the eye, and a few extra outside to highlight the colours. You can add any designs you like here!
I loved how these turned out! What's on your nails this week?
