Ipsy is generally make-up products with a mix of skincare, nail polish, and hair products based on a beauty profile you complete. There is usually 12-18 products that are selected from each month! You can view your "glam room" online that tells you all the products you will receive each month. You also receive a make-up bag each month with your products.
Ipsy always ships out in it's signature pink mailer, and here is a look at what came inside!
This month's theme is "Hot Summer Nights". This bag is okay, it's not my favorite!
Here is a look at the products I received:
Thrive Causemetics Infinity Waterproof Eyeliner in "Lauren - Matte Black" ~ full size $22.00. This waterproof, smudgeproof eyeliner glides on smoothly to deliver highly pigmented color that brightens, defines and sets in 30 seconds. Our proprietary formula is packed with shea butter, hyaluronic acid and ceramides for younger-looking lids and strong, conditioned lashes.
This company sounds great - for every product purchased, one is given to a women in need. From researching the company, it sounds like the donate to woman going through chemotherapy treatment. Also, they really focus on the ingredients used and their products are vegan and paraben free. I like the idea of a waterproof mascara for summertime so this sounds good!
Ofra Lipliner in "Maya" ~ full size $13.00. Water resistant pencil suitable for the most sensitive eye & lip areas. Created with a synthetic beeswax base for a smooth, soft and long lasting application.
Maya is described as "brick-red shade that draws a sultry line for standout lips". I think I have gotten quite a few lipliners lately (which is fine) but this colour is a fair bit darker than I normally where. I may keep it for the off chance I need it, but will likely pass it on.
Luxie Beauty - Luxie Rose Gold Small Angle Eye Brush 215 ~ $13.23. The pink and rose gold small angled brush is a Luxie favorite. With soft synthetic bristles, this cruelty-free makeup brush supports vegan beauty. With cutting edge antibacterial coating, this brush maintains its high quality and remains clean and fresh over time. Compact density of the eyeliner brush allows for precision and accuracy. A must-have in every makeup brush collection.
I loooove Luxie brushes - I was very excited to see this! While I have some angle brushes, I will use this one! This is a great size for both eyeliner and brows!
Not Soap, Radio - When life gives you one too many lemons (and you've misplaced your happy place) joy inducing hand/body lotion ~ sample size 20 ml for $1.27 (full size is 375 ml for $23.80).
Body lotion is not the most exciting product to receive - this is fine as the scent smells good.
The Balm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Trimony Eyeshadow in "Matt Kumar" ~ approx. $4.66 for single shadow (full palette is 9 shadows for $42.00). Triple milled just sounds attractive, doesn’t it? It means this shadow is super fine, making it smooth and easy to blend.
Okay, I'm sure this is not as big as the shadows in the palette, so the cost may be a little higher. This shade is described as a matte Cranberry. It's nice - I will try and use it, but it is quite dark for regular wear!
Ipsy came with 5 products - (3 full sized), and a total value of $54.16. This is a normal value for an Ipsy bag! I will say that this was not my favorite month with Ipsy - I love the brush and the eyeliner, but everything else is kinda of blah. I will use the lotion and I will likely use the lipliner and eyeshadow, but they aren't the most wearable shades for me.
