Manicure Monday - Christmas Present Nails!

All through December my nails will be Christmas themed! This week my inspiration was Christmas presents (I have been wrapping them like crazy!)

Here are the products I used for this week's Manicure:

  • Formula X Nail Cleanser and Base Coat
  • OPI Top Coat
  • Butter London Polish in "Jack the Lad" (green glitter)
  • Adorn Polish in "Jealous Much?" (green)
  • Nicka K Polish in Red Apple (red)
  • Ciate Polish in "Enchanted Rose" (red glitter)
  • White Nail art polish
  • Nail brush
Here are the steps I followed:
1. Nail Cleanser & Base Coat
2. 1 coat of plain polish per nail - I had 3 red presents and 2 green presents.

3. Add colored glitter polish over matching nails:

4. Use white nail art polish to make "ribbon" - straight line down the nail ( I made mine a little off centre):

5. Complete the ribbon by painting an intersecting line:

6. Use the nail art polish (I actually used a smaller nail art brush for more control) and free hand the bows. This takes a little practice but just do 2 semi circles (like you are drawing the top of a heart) and 2 little tail flicks!

Ahh - perfect to help me finish wrapping all my presents this week!

What did you do for Manicure Monday?
