New At Sephora Haul, First Impressions and Swatches ~ Rare Beauty Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter, Sephora Collection Color Shifter Eyeshadow Palette, and Sephora Pout Perfect Lip Set

Trying something a little different here - I don't often do a full haul with my initial swatches and thoughts, but I picked up a few little new sets and items from Sephora that I can't do full posts on each item, so thought I'd share my thoughts here and show you what I picked up!

I purchased everything in this post - this post contains affiliate links

There have been a few things that have caught my eye lately - specifically the Rare Beauty Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter and the Sephora Collection Color Shifter Eye Shadow Palette!

February 2020 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

Yay - time for my first Shopping Haul of 2020! Early this year, I set one of my 2020 goals to be actually sticking to my $100 a month Beauty Budget - are you ready to see if I was able to do this?!?

I always love my Monthly Haul posts to share with you everything I picked up (since I can't review everything I buy)! I also am trying to hold myself a little more accountable to buying products that I really want and will actually use!

February 2020 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!
I purchased everything in this post

Shoppers Haul ~ $6.79 CAN (originally was $142.50 CAN). I always love when Shopper's Drug Mart has your spend your points events, so I always stock up on a bunch of goodies. I picked up some Neutrogena face wipes, a new cleansing balm, cotton pads and dry shampoo. Then I picked up a couple of new products from the Physicians Formula Rose All Day line - you can see my review on the products here! I picked up a few different Essie products too - make sure you check out my recent Mani Monday posts for my thoughts on the polishes. And, I picked up the new Covergirl cream blush - I can't wait to try this soon.

August 2019 - Monthly Empties

Time for a look at my August Beauty Empties:

August 2019 - Monthly Empties
Some products may have been received as PR samples - this post contains affiliate links

Revlon ColorStay Full Cover Foundation in 150 Buff ~ $20.99 CAN. Revlon ColorStay Full Cover Foundation provides an amazing, full coverage perfected look that lasts all day long.

I fell in love pretty instantly with this foundation - it made my March Favourites and you can see a full look at this product on me here! It's a very neat texture - it almost feels whipped, or as Revlon refers to it as velvet. It applies really softly and nicely; but, dries down nicely and doesn't stay tacky at all and it wears all day - well around 10 hours without breaking up on my combo skin! I have noticed it can disappear from the nose a touch, so I'm careful with my powder; but, I loved the coverage of this. I really like this foundation!

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all had a great week! Mine was a little crazy (as much as I love a short work week, I always find them so crazy and busy!)

Some products were won in a giveaway or received as PR - this post contains affiliate links

It's time for a look at my September Monthly Makeup Basket! Each month I've been picking a few different face products to focus on for the month! I'm really trying to focus this year on using and enjoying my whole makeup collection!

December 2018 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Time to dig in to my beauty garbage!

December 2018 - Monthly Empties

Essence Eyeliner Pen Waterproof ~ $4.02 CAN. It is extremely long-lasting and offers great precision with a slim felt-tip applicator.

This was a good eyeliner - it's a felt tip pen and it worked really well. It was pigmented, applied well and lasted on the eyes! The actual product lasted a long time too! Plus, it's quite affordable. I think I like the Stila Stay All Day a little better, but this is a good alternative!

October 2018 - Monthly Empties + Month in Masks

Time to look at my monthly Makeup Garbage!

October 2018 - Monthly Empties + Month in Masks

Quo by ORLY Instant Artist White Polish ~ $13.60 CAN. Bring out your inner creativity with Orly Instant Artist Crisp White Lacquer Based Nail Lacquer and take your designs to the next level.

This was a really good nail art polish, but why is it almost $14 now?! Also, where did nail art polishes go at the drugstore?! I've been to a few and can't find them so I might have to pay to get this one again!
Repurchase: Likely

September 2018 Monthly Haul - What I Bought!

I love these Haul posts; because, for me it's a way of sharing everything I pick up throughout a month - honestly, I buy so much stuff that if I don't share it here, it might not pop up until my empties post! Let me know if there is anything you want to see a full post on, just let me know and I will do it!)

Also, I do "try" to stick to a monthly budget of $100, and these posts are supposed to keep me in check! I can go a little crazy sometimes with new things though - why is there so much new makeup being released all the time?! I will only include products I have spent money on - gifts and freebies are usually shared on posts like my Five on Friday posts!

For September I actually put myself on a "no-buy" because I spent a crazy amount over the Summer so I'm trying to calm down!

So, here is a look at everything I bought in September
:

Makeup Facebook Find ~ $12.00 CAN. Okay, so I cancelled my Boxycharm subscription and then I saw crazy good reviews about the Hank and Henry liquid lipstick and it's not released until October! So I picked this up on a Boxycharm group and $12 seemed like a good deal!

June 2018 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Time for a look at my beauty garbage:

June 2018 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer ~ $45.00 CAN. A makeup primer that assists with balancing the skin's texture and tone for smoother, more even, and longer-lasting makeup wear.

This was a pretty good primer - I thought it worked well to smooth out pores and make foundation application easier. This actually made my favorite products back in Feb. 2016 and I still like it. This bottle still has a bit in it, but it's getting old and I found it wasn't applying to my skin the same way so time to get rid of it!
Repurchase: Yes, eventually...

February 2018 - What I Bought This Month!

Happy Monthly Shopping Haul time! I hope you guys enjoy seeing my shopping - for me it's a way of sharing everything I pick up; because, honestly I buy so much stuff that some doesn't get talked about at all until it appears in an empties post! But, if there is ever anything you want to see a full post on, just let me know and I will do it!!!

Also, I do "try" to stick to a monthly budget of $100, and these posts are supposed to keep me in check! (Haha - supposed to, being the key word! I am clearly a beauty addict!) I will only include products I have spent money on - gifts, pr samples, and freebies are usually shared on posts like my Five on Friday posts!

For February, I was supposed to be on a "no-buy" or a really low-buy (but, I broke it slightly because I got a new job and thought I deserved a present!)

Here is a look at what I bought in February:

Sephora Shopping ~ $10.50 CAN (would have been $47.25 CAN). I have been wanting to try this foundation for a while - I am on the tail end of a few foundations and then I'm going to try this! I had a gift card that couldn't be used online, so I finally got to use it! Plus, I picked up samples of the Farsali Rose Gold Elixir and the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Skin Booster because I have been loving my Smashbox Primer Oil and wanted to try a few new ones!

December 2017 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks!

Let's have a look at my beauty garbage from December:
December 2017 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance ~ sample (full size is $24.00).

This is a decent eyeshadow primer - I thought my shadow lasted all day and didn't crease using this.
Repurchase: Yes, I would consider this...

September 2017 - What I Bought This Month!

It's time for my monthly haul - I have really enjoyed seeing what I buy every month! I like that I get to share everything I have purchased (because really some of it would get lost in my beauty collection if I didn't!) Also these posts helps to keep me on track - I am planning on trying to only spend around $100 per month on beauty since I am be on a smaller budget with a new baby!

I will only include products I have spent money on - gifts, pr samples, and freebies are usually shared on posts like my Five on Friday posts!

Here is what I bought in September:

Sephora Order ~ $39.90. Okay, there will be a lot of Sephora orders this month - this was actually my 3rd order in August, but it was at the very end of August and did not get here until early this month! I was very excited for the Too Faced Peaches and Cream collection but it weirdly released like a product a day leading up to the launch and since i'm Rouge and get free shipping, I didn't wait for them all to be released together! The first order, I had to try the Peach Blur powder and the rest are freebies! The Caudalie 3 set was my add on code and I love when they have makeup freebies, because these Dior lipsticks look awesome! Also scooped up some First Aid Beauty and a cleansing balm.

Five on Friday - March 10, 2017

Happy Friday everyone! This week has felt so long - it is crazy cold here this week in Calgary and it just makes it hard to be motivated to do anything! I heard it's supposed to warm up this weekend and next week, so fingers crossed!

ONE

So, I finally put in a Sephora order (it's been since December, so that's pretty impressive guys!) - I had to order this highlighter from Milk makeup and am so excited to try it! Also, I really wanted to try this Sephora Rose Cleansing Milk - these are newer products so I really want to test and review them! The Clinique goodies were an add-on!

September 2016 - Monthly Empties

Here is a look at everything I used up in September:

The Face Shop Clean Face Anti-Imperfection Patches ~ $2. These practical patches reduce the appearance of pimples as soon as they occur. Gentle on skin, they are easy to apply at any moment to fight against unexpected breakouts!

I really like the patches from The Face Shop - they come in 2 different sizes in the pack and apply well to the face! They also work really well and overnight my spots have been very visibly reduced - these made my Favorites in April too!
Repurchase: YES, with backups!

July 2016 - Monthly Empties

I have turned in to one of those people who loves empties posts - mostly because I love looking back on each product I used and see if I loved it or not! I have a ton of products and I can sometimes forget about something I love, but not with my handy garbage posts!

Lush BB Seaweed Fresh Face Mask ~ $7.95. Created especially to care for sensitive skin, BB Seaweed is a best-seller for its soothing, smoothing effects. No surprises here, it’s packed with none other than the ocean greenery itself! Seven pounds of it in each batch, in fact. This locally-harvested, nutrient-rich seaweed nourishes the skin, while finely ground almonds ever-so-gently exfoliate leaving skin perfectly smooth. We use a generous helpings of aloe vera gel and rose absolute to calm and soothe sensitive spots, and a gorgeous combination of honey and olive oil to moisturize. You look beautiful, BB!

July 2016 Topbox - Review and Unboxing

TopBox is a Canadian Beauty Box Subscription - for $12 CDN a month with free shipping, you will receive 4 deluxe sample size or full size products. You fill out a beauty profile and generally receive products based on what you have identified in the profile. Also, every month you have the option to wish for a "prive" box, which is a box that focuses on one brand or product for the whole box.

Each month comes with a couple variations, so you may not receive exactly the same products as me, but generally 1 or 2 are the same throughout all the bags.
TopBox is a Canadian company and only ships to Canada. There is usually a month or two waitlist for this subscription.

For July, I requested a regular Topbox - here is a look at what I received:

July 2016 Topbox - Review and Unboxing

Topbox now sends the product card via email, instead of in the bag. Also this month, they included a bonus item for everyone because of the issues with shipping the July box (the Canada Post strike issue).

I was happy to be invited to the Sears Beauty Event on November 3, 2015! Sears Canada partnered with "Look Good Feel Better" to help raise money for their Beauty Gives Back campaign.

Mini Shopping Haul - Sephora 2.0

I know I just put in a Sephora order, but since I got the wrong color of foundation so I had to quickly get another one!

Here is a look at what I put in for my second order!

Sephora Collection Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation in "Cream" ~ $30.00. A beautiful, lightweight, moisturizing foundation with a natural, barely-there finish.

This was the item I had to get a second one of to get the right color (I returned the first one no problem!) I love this foundation - it is very lightweight and wears really well!

Sephora - Makeup and Skincare Shopping Haul

I have been trying to be well behaved in my shopping, but then one of my favorite you-tubers Jaclyn Hill came out with a highlighter collaboration with Becca Cosmetics and I had to put in a Sephora order asap! I did not get this on the first day, but a week and a half later they had more online! (I could have gone in person, but I like the add-on deals you get online).

Sephora has had some issues lately with plenty of products being available to Americans but not to Canadians (go figure, this is literally the worst part of being a Canadian consumer - first world problem I know.....). It sounds like they opened a Sephora warehouse in Canada for quicker shipping, but this comes with less product availability!

My order shipped really fast (2 days), and it used to take much longer, so that is a perk!

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector® Pressed - Champagne Pop ~ $46. A limited-edition, creamy, luminizing powder to illuminate the face with a soft, pearlized glow.

Champagne Pop is described as a soft white gold with pinky peach undertones. Here is a swatch of the product:
