July 2016 Topbox - Review and Unboxing

TopBox is a Canadian Beauty Box Subscription - for $12 CDN a month with free shipping, you will receive 4 deluxe sample size or full size products. You fill out a beauty profile and generally receive products based on what you have identified in the profile. Also, every month you have the option to wish for a "prive" box, which is a box that focuses on one brand or product for the whole box.

Each month comes with a couple variations, so you may not receive exactly the same products as me, but generally 1 or 2 are the same throughout all the bags.
TopBox is a Canadian company and only ships to Canada. There is usually a month or two waitlist for this subscription.

For July, I requested a regular Topbox - here is a look at what I received:

July 2016 Topbox - Review and Unboxing

Topbox now sends the product card via email, instead of in the bag. Also this month, they included a bonus item for everyone because of the issues with shipping the July box (the Canada Post strike issue).

Here is a closer look at the products I received:
July 2016 Topbox - Review and Unboxing

Revlon Professionals Uniq One Coconut Hair Treatment ~ sample size 9 ml for $1.18 (full size is 150 ml for $19.63). Uniq One All in One Coconut treatment with a fresh coconut fragrance provides 10 real hair benefits: Repair for dry & damaged hair, Shine & frizz control, Heat protection, Silkniess & smoothness, Hair color protection with UVA&UVB filters, Easier brushing & heat styling, Incredible detangling, Long-lasting hairstyle, Split ends prevention, Adds body.

First, I will say I like this product - it smells great and I hope it works well for my hair! It is not overly expensive full size, so if I liked it I could see myself purchasing it. But, I think Revlon must have recently acquired this brand because I received a Uniq One product in a Topbox a few months ago - I'm not thrilled with the size of this sample - given how inexpensive it is, I would have liked to see something a little bigger.

St. Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted Body Lotion ~ sample size 50 ml for $9.50 (full size is 200 ml for $25.00). St. Tropez’s first Gradual Tan with a touch of bronze for an instant and continuous healthy glow. The nourishing lotion applies easily, absorbing quickly to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. Subtly illuminating the skin tone for natural, even, streak-free, healthier looking skin.
I had a thing for tinted lotions a few years back, but I realized they never looked very good on me. I could never get them to smooth out or not look patchy. So blah, I won't use this. Although, I will say that St. Tropez is a highly reviewed brand, so if you got this in your bag and are interested in trying it, the reviews look good!

July 2016 Topbox - Review and Unboxing

Bellapierre Waterproof Gel Lip Liner in "Cinnamon" ~ full size $18.00. These waterproof lip pencils can be used to prep the lips for Mineral Lipstick, or on their own as an all-over lip color. Creating a perfectly defined pout that lasts all day has never been easier, with these creamy liners that glide on effortlessly. Formulated with pure minerals, natural waxes, and antioxidants, these are hypoallergenic and safe for all skin types.

This was my 5th bonus item that Topbox included this month - I believe all subscribers received this (? I think!) Cinnamon is described as "medium plum brown" so it is a shade that goes with the lip colous that I wear! I do like that it is full size.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in "Rebel" ~ sample size 0.07 ml for $10.73 (full size is 0.15 ml for $23.00). A lip gloss infused with natural ingredients that smooth and hydrate lips with sheer, pure color.

Rebel is described as "pink mauve" - that's pretty much my favorite shade to wear! I haven't tried this yet, but the reviews say it is a great gloss, although expect a little tingle (I think for the peppermint - but that also gives it a great smell!) I will use this!

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream ~ sample size 0.1 oz for $6.20 (full size is 0.5 oz for $31). An instant brightening and hydrating eye cream that features a blend of peptides to help combat the visible effects of your busy life.

I have heard really great things about this eye cream and the whole Clinique pep-start line! I'm looking forward to trying this!

Topbox came with 5 products this month (1 full size) with a total value of $45.61! I like that Topbox sent an extra item in this month's box - overall, I am fairly happy with the items I received this month. The only item I won't use is the tanning lotion.

If you are interested, you can view my past Topbox reviews here

Also for this month's box, Topbox offered $10 add-ons (these only come up every few months) so I grabbed 2! Here is a look at what I got:

Glow For A Cause Facial Nourishing Cream in "Calendula & Citrus" ~ full size $38.00. Our facial nourishing cream is enriched with organic calendula, proven to be highly effective in preventing the skin from over-drying. This cream, lightly scented with 100% pure essential oils of lemon, bergamot and tangerine, soothes damaged skin without leaving a greasy feeling.

This sounds like a great company - they give a certain amount of profit to charities. I love that this is a full size face cream and I am excited to try this!

Be a Bombshell Eyeshadow Quad in "Madrid" ~ $16.00. A high pigmented long lasting formula for all day wear.

This quad contains the shadows - starlet, risky business, birthday suit, and tempted. This is fine, I'm not sure if I will use this or pass it on yet.

What did you think of the July Topbox? Did you get the same products?
