I purchased everything in this post
I've been waiting for this Benefit duo to come online and I jumped on ordering it! Plus I picked up a few other goodies along with it that have caught my eye - they YSL Nu Bare Look Tint has been on my radar for a while, so I love that I can pick it up now using my PC Optimum points. Plus, the Milani concealer and the NYX Fat Oil have been hyped up so I couldn't resist trying them too!
I'm still sticking to my beauty and books budget of $200 per month, so I'm making sure my purchases are thoughtful and hopefully I'm enjoying everything I'm picking up! Here's a closer look at what I picked up:
Yves Saint Laurent Nu Bare Look Tint in shade 7 ~ $54.00 CAN. This flexible, multitasking skin tint has a water-cream texture for up to 24-hour hydration and leaves skin naturally enhanced with a radiant finish. Infused with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and brightening mallow, this makeup-moisturizer hybrid melts into the complexion for an effortless no-makeup look. The foundation’s tube is made out of 30 percent post-consumer recycled material. The outer pack is made out of FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) cardboard to support forest management that respects people and nature.
I was so excited to see the Nu Bare Look Tint on Shoppers - this isn't a new product in general, but it's new to Shoppers! I love the cheek and lip tint from the YSL Nu line and so I couldn't wait to try more from this line.
This a tint, so a low to medium coverage - this is 90% skincare base with two times more glycerin than a regular foundation. The texture is meant to give a skin-like feel and let your skin show through while evening out tone and texture!
I picked up shade 7 which is a light-medium with cool undertones (I typically go for neutral undertones, but they didn't have any and I wasn't sure if a warm undertone would pull too orange on me!)
I will say that it's a gorgeous, light-weight texture - you only need a little to even out skintone and it blends in nicely and wears well all day. I'm loving this tint - it's worn well on 16 hour work days, wears off nicely without looking patchy and so far has managed in warmer weather. I really love this!
Milani Conceal Perfect Undereye Brightener in Rose ~ $17.49 CAN. Lighten up, things are getting brighter! Conceal + Perfect Undereye Brightener is a lightly tinted, silky-smooth formula designed to instantly brighten dark circles and hydrate under eyes in a swipe. Our ultra-nourishing formula is made with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and caffeine combined with micro-fine pearls and color-correcting pigments that gives you a totally rested look in an instant. Wear as a brightening base for concealer or alone —the targeted cushion applicator makes application a breeze.
Pink concealer under the eyes is taking the internet by storm - really this isn't super new, I do have some pick setting powder for an overall brightening look and I have liked the effect so I thought I would try a light pink concealer!
It's been a long time since I've tried anything from Milani - I did think almost $18 was a little pricy for a drugstore concealer, but you only need a couple of dots of this so it will last a long time!
I picked up shade 01 Rose for the light pink brightening look - here it is swatched on me. I do think this offered a brightening look. It's a pretty light weight finish and it blends in nicely.
I find this best under a foundation or tint lightly set - I personally don't like another concealer over top and this just blends everything out nicely. It does add a good little finish - I don't think this is a necessary step but it looks nice!
Benefit Hoola & WANDERful World Duos mini Bronzer & Blush duos - Hoola Beach Vacay ~ $32.00 CAN. These slim line, on-the-go palettes each feature Benefit’s award-winning Hoola bronzer plus a WANDERful World blush in fan-fave shades. Hoola bronzer instantly warms up your complexion with a natural-looking matte finish, and it’s buildable, blendable, and silky-soft. Pair it with your blush shade for smudgeproof, sweatproof color that builds effortlessly and blends seamlessly.
I love Benefit Cosmetics face products - they are really great, the only problem is the singles in the big boxy packaging, so I always buy their products when they are in these compact, Summer products I always pick them up! The last one had a setting powder, two blushes and a highlighter, so I love that this one was with a bronzer and brush!
There is four different shades in these duos from hoola light to hoola deep and caramel - I picked the light/medium duo with the regular Hoola Bronzer and Shellie, a warm seashell-pink blush with a soft-shimmer finish that's so pretty!
Here's a look at Hoola and Shellie swatched on me - I can't believe I don't own Hoola at all, but I really like it. Shellie looks light, but it's really gorgeous and glowy on the cheeks!
I really love these products - these apply easy, look great on and wear well - such a hit and a great Summer duo (it was a little smaller than I expected, but it's still a good little size!)
NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip in Scrollin ~ $14.49 CAN. Our first lip drip of its kind! and it's FAT with goodness. Fat Oil is Infused with cloudberry oil, raspberry oil, squalane. Provides 12hr hydration. Comfortable wear, non-sticky texture, and high shine finish.
It's no secret that I love lip oils - they are my favourite lip products and I could wear them all the time! I have heard this product so hyped up - it was actually mostly sold out online (and still is right now), but maybe you will have better luck in a store if you are looking for one.
The shade I picked up is Scrollin - this is described as "brown" - I don't always love a brown lip, but since I have quite a few lip oils, this is a nice addition to the collection in a shade that I don't have already!
Here is a look at Scrollin swatched - it's like a caramel brown and it does sheer out with a nice hint of color on the lips!
These smell great and this product is fantastic - this goes on so smoothly and wears really nicely. It's not sticky, but gives a great, glossy finish that leaves the lips hydrated and plump and soft!
Here's a look at the products on me - the YSL Nu Bare Tint on my face and the Milani Concealer under the eyes - love the finish of both of these. I have the Hoola Bronzer on and the Shellie blush on the cheeks with the NYX oil on the lips.
This was a great haul - I really enjoy everything I'm using! I love the lip oil, skin tint and and Benefit duo. The Milani concealer is also great! Have you tried any of these?!
