Happy Manicure Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend - I had a crazy busy weekend, so naturally I needed a quick manicure!
I purchased these on my own - this post contains affiliate links
I always look forward to June, since like last year, the #CBBxManiMonday group is switching it up a little bit this month and the theme is Allyship - June is both Pride Month and Indigenous History Month. Each week we will be sharing manis based on our allyship with these causes (or any other causes we each feel are important to highlight!) and sharing resources to help draw attention to, informative information or agencies in our areas that are assisting people.
This month, I started with Pride rainbow nails, and I might try and use this month to highlight different groups in the 2SLGBTQI+ (Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and additional groups). This week, I'm highlighting the pride flag with the press-ons from Quo Beauty in support of PFlag Canada (a nation-wide network that provides peer support, education and advocacy for a Canada that affirms respects and values all sexualities, genders and gender expressions).
Quo Beauty Faux Nail Kit with Glue ~ $14.99 CAN. Express your personality with easy to wear artificial nails. Featuring innovation in design and application giving you the ability to complete the salon look in minutes with long lasting results.
These are a set of 24 nails that are a nice long oval shape and I thought they had a good range and fit my nails well. What's great is that this set came with glue as well as tabs for different holds and I think this will help these be reusable. The tabs adhered well but also peeled off well too!
Here's a look at the press-ons on my nails - I actually really like these (I don't tend to use a lot of press-ons, so my experience is pretty limited). I liked the two different options to apply the nails and they were good overall!
Also, to highlight a company doing great work for Pride, in addition to the organization Quo Beauty is supporting - check out Skipping Stone in Calgary that focuses on supporting the Trans community!
Make sure to check out Cosmetic Proof and PBL Nails for their always amazing manicures!
I really like these on you. I was eyeing them in the store but think they'd be too long on me. Love them on you
ReplyDeleteThank you! I typically don't have this long of nails, but they are fun!
