February 2019 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks

Let's take a look at my beauty garbage:

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation in 2C3 Fresco ~ $50.00 CAN. A 24-hour liquid foundation with a flawless, natural, matte finish that unifies uneven skin tone and covers imperfections with buildable coverage.

I love this foundation - the wear is just fantastic. It is full coverage; but, doesn't feel heavy on the skin and wears all day. When I was running low on this, I started saving it for days where I had something to do or I just needed to know my base makeup would be reliable. This is so good; it made even made my favorites back in July 2017! This shade turned out to be a little too dark for me and it does oxidize a tiny bit, so when I repurchase, I just need to go a little lighter!
Repurchase: Yes!

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in Y245 Soft Sand ~ sample shown (full sized is $52.00 CAN).  A game-changing, top-selling foundation with buildable coverage and a natural finish, best suited for normal to combination skin.

This was a sample I got in a Sephora order, and it was pretty close to the right shade; but, was a touch too dark on me. I thought the formula was good and it had nice coverage and wore well.
Repurchase: Maybe, would need a lighter shade!

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in "Black" ~ $29.00 CAN. An easy-application, waterproof liquid liner that stays on all day and night.

I've said this before, this is hands down my holy grail black liquid eyeliner! I love it - it is so easy to apply and actually lasts so long! Plus, this container of liner lasts so long! I love this - I don't need to say much more than this is my favorite liner ever!
Repurchase: YES (after I use up a few liners I have!)

L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Superstar Liquid Eye Liner ~ $10.96 CAN. For a perfect winged eyeliner look, L’OrĂ©al Paris introduces Voluminous® Superstar™ liner. The flexible felt tip traces the curves of your eyelid to achieve a controlled thin to thick line in 1 stroke.

This is a felt tipped liner and it's not a flexible and it's a little thicker than I normally go for. It worked fine and it lasted long on my eyes. Overall not bad, just not the best.
Repurchase: Not likely

Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer in #03 Fondant (Light) ~ $18.00 CAN. A lightweight concealer that covers and brightens to help you fake a more alert appearance in seconds.

Confession alert - I just looked and I picked this up in September 2015, so this is old - and good thing it's done. First, I bought this in a shade that was way too light for me which made it hard to wear. But also, I just didn't like this formula - it didn't blend well and it creased on me. Hence why it took 3.5 years to use this up.
Repurchase: Nooooo

February 2019 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks

Burt's Bees Mattifying Powder Foundation in "Vanilla" ~ $19.99 CAN. Our 100% Natural Mattifying Powder Foundation in Bamboo controls shine with buildable and blendable coverage to give you a smooth and even skin tone.

I really enjoyed this foundation last year when I tried it - you can see it on me here! This shade itself and was a bit light on me. It wore really well and only started to look a little powdery after about 10 hours. I've been using this to mix with foundations, and unfortunately I just don't think this formula is mixing well with others. Plus, it is a natural formula so I think maybe it's getting close to expiring.
Repurchase: Maybe in a darker shade...

Maison Jacynthe Fluide De Teint/Fluid Complexion in 03 Cream ~ $46.00 CAN. Camouflages perfectly with an ultra natural finish. It helps to unify the complexion in lightness.

This is a really light-weight natural finish foundation - it certainly needed to be built up if you were covering redness or blemishes. It was quite glowy foundation and with oily skin I found I couldn't wear it often; but, on good skin days it looked really great. The smell is changing a little and I think as a natural foundation it's maybe getting close to expiry.
Repurchase: Not likely

February 2019 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks

Fresh Rose Floral Toner ~ sample shown (full size is $18.00 to $49.00 CAN). A soothing, alcohol-free toner and setting spray that delivers hydration with a heavenly scent.

I love Fresh skincare, and I thought this toner was good. I like that it was is a spray bottle; but, the mister on this one isn't great. I think it would have been better in a toner bottle with a topper that you can pour out on a cotton round.
Repurchase: Maybe

Divine Essence Organic Labrador Tea Floral Water ~ $10.99 CAN. A species of tree-like shrub found in tundras, peatlands and North American forests, Labrador Tea, or Greenland Ledum, is one of the iconic flora of the boreal forests.

I liked this back in 2017 when I started using it - it was very calming and really soothing on redness and irritated skin! This originally had a pine tree scent; but, I think this went bad this month and it's smelly now.
Repurchase: Not likely

Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream ~ sample shown (full size is $28.00 CAN). An advanced brightening and refining treatment, infused into a next-generation water cream.

This was a fun looking lotion in that it was a little shimmery; but, it had a weird smell to me and I didn't think that it worked super well.
Repurchase: No

Garnier Skin Naturals Fresh Cleansing Cloths Face & Eyes ~ $5.97.

So I thought these were the Garnier wipes I actually like; but, it turns out they are not. These just weren't as good - I really struggle to find face wipes that actually work! I like the Skin Active Clean Refreshing Remover Wipes; this type just didn't work well enough for me.
Repurchase: No

February 2019 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks

Colab Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo ~ $9.99 CAN. COLAB's Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo + gives lifeless hair an instant backcombed boost for amazing body and oomph. A classic, yet contemporary fragrance of bergamot, musk and magnolia. Big Hair, Don't Care!

The extreme volume formula is not an invisible formula, so it does come with a bit of a white cast. With dark hair, I have to apply this at night and even then it's not fully invisible by the morning. I prefer the Colab invisible formula. This one was okay.
Repurchase: Not this one; but, other ones!

Colgate Optic White ~ $?

Toothpaste is toothpaste - this one worked well. No complaints.

Regenerate Enamel Science Advanced Toothpaste ~ sample shown (full size is $17.00 CAN). Utilising clinically proven, patented NR-5™ technology based upon years of extensive research, the Regenerate toothpaste effectively recreates the mineral that tooth enamel is made of, working to reverse the early erosion process and protect against cavities, acid and decay.

This was fine - I'm only sharing a little more about it because it came in my Lookfantastic Advent calendar. It was good and gentle; but, $17 is a little crazy for toothpaste.
Repurchase: No

Dove Go Sleeveless Deodorant ~ $?

This was a deodorant; I usually use this as a clinical strength, so I this one took forever to use up. It smelled good but it's just fine.
Repurchase: No

Shiseido Facial Cotton ~ $11.00 CAN. This exclusive Facial Cotton is 100 percent natural and uniquely manufactured for a consistent soft, smooth texture.

I love these cotton pads - I had heard rave reviews forever, and these really work so well. I basically use them to remove makeup or apply toner. Sounds like such a silly product to love; but, they really are great! They are just so plush and work well!
Repurchase: Yes (I tried a different brand for now; but, will pick up more!)

Joe Fresh Nail Polish Remover ~ $4.20 CAN.

This is fine - Joe Fresh used to have a different shaped bottle that was better - only had a small hole at the top that was way easier to dispense product from. But, this still did the trick. I do like this formula better than most others I have tried.
Repurchase: Yes

Joe Fresh Cotton Pads ~ $2.00 CAN.

I always say that these are just good; but, once you use a really crappy cotton pad, you realize that these ones are actually really good! Really good! These ones work well for my face and nails, so they are good!
Repurchase: Yes

February 2019 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks

Lifance Creamy Nougat Soap ~ $7.00. Treat your skin to this decadent creamy soap scented in rich Bergamot and Frankincense. We have loaded this soap with Powdered Oatmeal and tiny pieces of currants for exfoliation. Nourish your skin with Creamy Nougat!

This was fine - it smelled good and did have exfoliant chunks with tiny pieces. It was a little creamy and did get used up quickly.
Repurchase: Not

Lush Butterbear Bath Bomb ~ $4.95 CAN. It's great for nourishing and protecting skin, no matter how long you bathe, and has the same sweet vanilla and ylang-ylang fragrance as our Butterball Bath Bomb. Made with vegan synthetic musk, the comforting aroma from this bear will linger softly on the skin long after you leave the tub.

I love the Butterball/Butterbear scent - it is super gentle vanilla relaxing. I love it! Such a solid bath bomb.
Repurchase: Yup!

So, in February I used up 20 products which is pretty good - I thought I went through a few extra makeup products and I always love using makeup up!

Here are the masks I used up this month:

February 2019 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks

Ooooh, the funnest part of this Month in Masks is that I've actually reviewed all of these masks in depth, so I'm not going to talk about them individually here!

In February I did a 28 Day Masking Challenge - week one was a printed mask theme, week two was a food mask theme, week three was a flower mask theme and week four is a luxe mask theme! I've linked the actual posts (Luxe week will be up tomorrow!)

So, I used 28 masks this week and it's lovely to get back in to masking and try a new mask every day!

How did you stack up for your empties this month?
