Skincare Sunday - Neutrogena Hydro Boost Multi-Vitamin Booster

Happy Skincare Sunday everyone! I have been incorporating a "booster" in to my routine since July 2017 when I tried the Vichy Mineral 89 Booster, and this is actually the first time I've tried a different brand since then and I was excited to try something different!

I have basically switched my morning serum for a booster instead. While serums are amazing for the skin, and I still use one every night, I have really enjoyed the targeted moisture and quick absorbance of a booster in the morning. I use this after washing and toning my skin and before applying a moisturizer! You can also use it combined with a serum if you are using a targeted serum.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Multi-Vitamin Booster ~ $24.99 CAN. Instantly quenches skin, while helping to improve the skin’s moisture barrier against reoccurring dryness, for hydrated, supple skin that glows.

This booster features hyaluronic acid and is meant to add moisture and energize the look of the skin. I think the extra moisture in this really light-weight formula - really great for my combination/oily skin! I love that there are these little capsules inside and they burst as you pump the product out.

This booster is easy to apply - wash face, tone skin, apply booster and follow up with serum! You can use it morning or night, or both if you like. You can also combine it with another serum or mix it in with your moisturizer.

This booster does absorb in to the skin really quickly; however, it does stay tacky on the skin for an extra minute or two. Once my moisturizer is applied, the tackiness disappeared and my makeup applied over it.

I do think this Booster delivered on adding moisture to the skin and it's really great for day use because it absorbs quickly (and I'm rushed between skincare and makeup application in the mornings so this is important to me!) It did deliver on the claims and my skin felt really healthy using this. I'm not sure it's going to replace my Vichy Mineral 89 Booster; but, I do think I would be happy to use this again for sure - it is comparable and I like that this is available at more drugstores and the price is more affordable (although there is a little less product).
